  • Hi Cel. As far as I can see the post vanished.
Maybe it is because I mentioned the mysterious circumstances surrounding the wipe-out of casebook?

      • It's a shame there is no point of reference in the film clip, it could be really tiny and close to the camera.

        • Tonight, Dateline NBC is supposed to be doing a show about flying saucers if it isn't preempted by the hurricane.
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

          • I think that UFO program had been on before and it wasn't any better the second time.

            • Hi all,

I have been experimenting a little with Wikipedia. I have been adding paragraphs here and there regarding various articles. For example I added some criminal history to the following items:

              William Broadbent
              Frederick Smith
              Dr. Thomas Neill Cream
              Dr. Hawley Harvey Crippen
              Henry Kendall

Also some bits on naval history:
HMS Victoria (regarding a connection to the Savoy Operetta Utopia Limited)
              Utopia Limited
              RMS Titanic
              RMS Empress of Ireland
              RMS Montrose
              SS Arctic
              steamship Lexington
              Carl Follen

most of these were new cross references.

It is not so difficult to add material after awhile, but one thing inevitably leads to another.

              Best wishes,

              Jeff

              • Hi Jeff,

This is a pretty cool thing to do. I take it that it was pretty simple to do? There have been a couple that I thought about adding to, but held back.

                Hi Guys,

Now, I understand that Australia has it's own version of the Sasquatch, called the Yowie. According to Quest for the Truth, a TV program, shown here in the US. Anybody up on this critter?

                • Hi Cel,

I saw the end of that show, I think. Is it a marsupial sasquatch?

                  • I was reading about the "Big Cat" lose in Ireland recently, after several days of army, police and game hunters persuing the beast, it turned out to be a dog

I also came across a book called "Monsters" which looks at the many different monsters all over the world, past and present. I forget who wrote it but its a very strange read!

In other news, a public house in York was on TV with footage from a CCTV camera. It appears to show several light anomalies darting up the stairs! Luckily, one of our team lives in York, and has already dropped our literature in! Watch this space!

I love wikipedia, and read it a lot, but ensure it is never my first port of call, and use alongside other sources. You just never know with some people!

                    • Hi Stan,

I don't know about the marsupial part. I missed the very first minute or so. Australia is the last place I would expect to find a large, non-human, primate. The team didn't prove much, did they? Stan, I'm telling you, nobody could get me into those creepy places they go. I wouldn't sit in the dark in that mosque for even a minute. Did you see that part?

I saw about 30 seconds of a UFO thing, but I don't know if it was the one you mentioned. This one was a rehash of the Arizona lights one. I thought I had seen it so I moved on.

BTW, they caught one of the alligators, after about a month hunting him. He's about 3 feet long.

                      best,

                      Cel

                      • Hi Mike,

Yes, Wiki is one of my first stops, too. It's let me down only a couple of times, once for Jeremy Brett. It's pretty good.

Last night, on Monster Quest, they covered the big cats in the UK. They didn't prove anything. All the evidence was useless. Still, they did an experiment with cut-out cat shapes of various sizes, and people actually did pretty well on determining the size of the cat. The researcher was a naturalist. He was both surprised and rather pleased, as well. I think I would be cautious hiking around Exmoor and other sites where those cats have been seen.

                        best,

                        Cel

                        • Hi Cel,

I didn't see the mosque part.

That UFO show did included the Arizona lights.

They just caught a 3' alligator in the Des Plaines River which is connected to the Illinois River north of here. They'll be in Lake Michigan pretty soon.

                          • It's getting weird, isn't it? They caught a 6 foot one here, in the river. The Good Michael said they caught a bull shark way up north, that apparently came up the Missassloppy.

I guess I saw a different show, all 30 seconds.

P.S. Are those rugby guys hairy enough to be sasquatches? The marsupial aspect being a side issue of course!
