theres a lot of bull out there about the kennedy assassination like there is about the ripper & sadly that will keep us from the truth ,too many theories not enough proof i do however believe in a jfk conspiracy because of 2 things:

1.the government is still keeping files on oswald secret ,if hes just a crazy lone nutter then why not release everything?

2. the magic bullet ,i can not believe a bullet could do what the Warren report said it did and still come out undamaged.

Its not really that IVE read more about the assassination...its more about the quality, in my opinion there are 3 kinds of authors who write non-fiction works....firstly the writer whos method is to give the public what it wants,mystery,drama intrigue etc with scant regard for the facts....then the second kind is a writer who writes without any consideration whatever for the public taste,he presents the facts as he/she sees them,and cares not a fig whether his work excites ,his motive is presenting the facts.rarely do these authors complain if the ignorant public is upset or ungrateful ,that type of writing could be construed as eccentric,and rarely if ever makes the author rich.Then comes the third kind,the author who force feeds the public with what he thinks the public OUGHT to like,because its just a little superior,this kind dont write for the money...they usually dont need it......But anyway my point is authors like garrison,lane etc come into the first category,and its their works that are read ,or have been read by the majority,its why so many falsehoods persist and are repeated parrot wise by the unthinking public.The film JFK is another reason,as a movie its ok,but as a factual reconstruction of the case,its absolute nonsense.....yet people believe....and probabley always will.
If you still have doubts and suspect that the bullets came from the grassy knoll, ignore the physical evidence,ignore the fact thats its known where the bullets came from-that its known who fired them etc etc....and look at the layout of the grassy knoll,the picket fence,the crowds etc and ask yourself just where did these assassins/s appear from and disappear to afterwards? its an impossibility almost.....seek and ye shall find

Well I guess youve read some of the "crackers" out there.My favourites are the theories regarding the secret service man who slipped over in the back up car and blew kennedys head off by accident....and the cover up that followed .....and an even crankier one whereby officer tippit was "standing in" for kennedy as a look -alike and took the bullets,while kennedy was assassinated in private by the cia.....the bodies were then swapped at parkland hospital etc etc etc now I dont blame the authors,they are just trying to make a buck,like most authors do.....the truth is largely irrelevant to them....but how on earth could even a complete moron believe the garbage these guys turn out?
The grassy knoll gunman affair is as equally ridicolous when looked at in detail (though at first sight not as obviously so).......bullets from the front? impossible,given the nature of the physical evidence.....but still people believe....

If you look at the frame where the head is hit, you will see that the President's head has been pushed about 2" farther forward from the back of the seat compared to where it was in the previous frame. You also see the tissue, including two of what are probably bone or bullet fragments, projecting forward not to the rear or side. All indicate a rear shot. The head later flung back as a muscle reaction.

(my bolding) Yeah, but, someone (can't remember who) said earlier in this thread that a shot head initially moves TOWARDS the direction the shot came from, then moves backwards from the direction of the shot. And they said it just as convincingly as you're now saying the opposite

I cannot agree with you, sorry, Caps and Stan! I just studied the Zapruder film - again...

Of course I could say, that being a Finnish country-boy I know this and that about shooting...

But to move to a thing, that got my interest; do you think, that when Kennedy is holding his hands about on his tie, he is really being hit by the bullet?!

Yes Caps, I didn't know the frame numbers but I did look at that several years ago. If you just watch the film at regular speed, it's a little hard to see because it is so quick.
