When Flying Saucers Attack!

The night started out with a bang! We turned all the lights off in the building, after locking all the doors and walking from top to bottom to take in exits etc.
We stood on a landing overlooking a massive Georgian Window which is lovely, and over looks the river Hull, before going into a room just off the landing.
We asked out for activity when the light on the landing we had all been stood on, came on! We quickly moved to the landing and tried to think of a reasonable explaination, but we just couldn't!
As we sat on the stairs discussing it, the light which was not turned on (there were two) began spinning in a clockwise motion, then anti clockwise before stopping! This lasted about 10 minutes and we took quite a lot of photo's. We also kept an eye on passing traffic to ascertain wether traffic vibrations could cause this affect, but sunday evenings have little traffic!
Next we visited a library, when we asked out we heard a child crying, now im a big bloke, and it does take a lot to get to me, but I was overcome with sadness and quite ready to cry! As soon as it came over me, it passed, but I sat down next to my friends who were all standing and looking through the spaces in the books.
It was then that I saw the little boy, his face was so clear, he had a little button nose, light curly hair and looked about 7/8 years old. He was watching me, and smiled as he moved suddenly to the right and out of view, I jumped to my feet, frightnening my friends and gave chase but saw nothing!
There is only one way in and out of the room, by a large fire door, and no one left this way as we were stood opposite the door. The room was dark, but windows were letting in a small amount of light, so we could see quite well.
I was quite baffled by his sudden appearance and disappearance but was quite relieved that he was smiling.
We heard bangs, knocks and taps in response to questions. Cold spots in otherwise warm, centrally heated rooms, and listened as footsteps and doors slammed on other levels of the building!
My wife was quite brave and was touched a couple of times and there was aone moment were she jumped, but I was suprised by how well she handled it!Regards Mike

Jeff.
I've never heard of that one, Jeff. I have been getting Biblical Archeology for two years, now, and I have never ordered a single issue, nor do I agree with the views it holds! Nice pictures though. It just keeps coming."What our ancestors would really be thinking, if they were alive today, is: "Why is it so dark in here?"" From Pyramids by Sir Terry Pratchett, a British National Treasure.

Wow, Mike. It sounds like you guys really had a good night. So many experiences. Is this the first time you have seen a ghost?
It would be my luck that nothing would happen! You guys are brave. I don't care for the spooky stuff. Oh, I like reading about it and like TAPS, etc, but to go out and actually do it like you all do... Still, some of the experiences I have had have not been too scary.
Did you do any videos? What did the pictures show?
Let us know."What our ancestors would really be thinking, if they were alive today, is: "Why is it so dark in here?"" From Pyramids by Sir Terry Pratchett, a British National Treasure.

Celesta,
It goes against the credo of 'ghosthunters' to every actually gather hard evidence for the proof of ghosts. They forgot to have their camera on, or there was a 'malfunction', or it was just out of frame, or there's only a white blob in the corner. Any physical evidence or even photographic evidence of a smiling ghost-child who could potentially be identified? Of course not. Are you being polite or are you really that gullible a woman?
Yours truly,
Tom Wescott

I'm not very gullible. I've had some experiences that make me interested, in at least, the viability of this type of research. It all depends on who is doing it, as to whether I believe them, or not. Although I know there are some people who try to hoax us, and people who fool themselves, I would be interested in having some explanations. I know that spirits exist because I've encountered them. It can't make you believe that if you don't. I guess it's something you have to experience. Frankly, just about any kind of mystery will get my attention. It's the mystery of it. I like the TAPS approach. They have come up with some interesting stuff.

There was a question on JEOPARDY tonight dealing with the Ripper. The catagory had to deal with words or names beginning (or including) the word,
"white".
Best wishes,

I suspect that Biblical Archeology is determined to validate the Holy Writ by showing modern archeological proof of the events of the bible? If so I am glad it has strikingly good photography.
Best wishes,

Hi Tom, No we don't take a fat woman, I have seen my fair share of these charletans, taking money off people who have suffered tragic loss, and told them nothing in return!
Celesta, I have seen a few apparitions, heard more bangs and taps than I care to remember and have seen objects move of their own accord!
We have some great locations planned, and one which will even be of intrest to Ripperologists!!
We use the following equipment,
Night Vision Camcorder,
Normal Camcorder,
Locked off night vision camera,
CCTV,
EMF Detectors, to find fluctuations in electromagnetic fields,
Stud detectors, used if we find fluctuations on the EMF, this can search for wires behind walls.
Radiation Detectors, rarely used, but i got this quite cheap,
Weather Boy's, an all in one wind speed monitor, temp gauge, humidity device.
IR Temp Gauge, cad detect temp changes across a great distance.
I also have a large number of audio recording equipment that links into my PC.
Digi Cam's,
Movement sensors, great fun but bloody noisy!
Gadgets aside we also use,
Compasses, electro magnetic field affect the position of true north!
Pendulums, I am undecided on these but used next to scientific equipment we do get results.
Trigger Objects, Keys, Crosses and coins, we leave them in a locked room and see if they have moved.
And loads more weird and wonderful toys!Regards Mike

I can see that you clearly understand! Yes, they are lovely pictures. Actually, they have tried to widen their coverage of non-Judaic, non-Christian sites, but they get rude letters about covering these useless "pagan" sites. You know, like those useless Philistine sites."What our ancestors would really be thinking, if they were alive today, is: "Why is it so dark in here?"" From Pyramids by Sir Terry Pratchett, a British National Treasure.

Mike,
That is an amazing amount of equipment. I never even heard of some of that stuff.
Are you guys getting International TAPS yet?"What our ancestors would really be thinking, if they were alive today, is: "Why is it so dark in here?"" From Pyramids by Sir Terry Pratchett, a British National Treasure.

Still not getting International Taps but there are some episode of it on Youtube. I have not watched any but I have a night home alone with my son, who will be going to bed soon, so i might watch one.
The same applies to UFO Hunters which is on Youtube.
The equipment is just a small selection of what we have at our disposal, I have seen all sorts of equipment being used in the search, and I guess it all depends on the amount of money you have at your disposal.
I watched in awe recently at a remote controlled infra red night vision camera! The picture quality was ace, and the screen can be carried without the need for wires!
We used that in a family home which had been plauged by poltergeist activity. The little girl would not sleep in her room, so it was an emergancy visit, to put them at ease.
I was "kicked" in the back, and at the same time, several group members saw red orbs fly into my back! Another member felt a friendly pat on the back, and we got some great EVP's of a girl crying!Regards Mike

Mike, I wonder if TAPS International is going to have a second season. How interesting it would be if they came to Yorkshire. Nudge nudge Afterall, you have a repertoire of places for them to visit along with you."What our ancestors would really be thinking, if they were alive today, is: "Why is it so dark in here?""
