Hello Maria. I'll try. (This is a paraphrase and from memory--of an old person.)

The story goes that LB was being interviewed and he said, "Some people call me a godless, commie, hippie, pinko, fag@#$--but that's what I am!"

    Cheers.

Hello Maria. No, LB was not a Ripperologist.

I was referring to his quip about socialism and homosexuality.

    Cheers.

    Hi Lynn,

Well wasn't everybody in Whitechapel impoverished to some degree? Now if Liz was a high priced call girl then I would see Berner street as a poor choice but I think it much more likely that she took her clients where she could find them.

You guys totally crack me up. (Plus, this sounds so Jeffrey Dahmer-ish. Ugh.)
Leonard Bernstein was a Ripperologist? And gay?
Oh, a quip by him. Never heard of it. Can't you just paraphrase it, Lynn?

    Leonard Bernstein

Hello CD. Well, they were impoverished.

Homosexual? Well I'd quote Leonard Bernstein and his quip in that regard; but, unfortunately, I'd be banned from Casebook. (Bet Maria has heard it.)

    Cheers.

    Hi Lynn,

Did it have a reputation as a hang out for impoverished homosexuals?

Safe for Whitechapel and Stride standards, because of the near proximity of the IWMC. Safer than the streets, were BS approached her and pushed her to the ground.

    Hello Maria.

"she might have needed Duttfield Yard as a safe haven for professional purposes. As a prostitute."

Safe haven? Dutfield's? You are in jest?

    Cheers.

Lynn, we don't know if Stride didn't do little errands for the IWMC, that much I'll admit. But then, she might have needed Duttfield Yard as a safe haven for professional purposes. As a prostitute.

Hello CD, Maria. Yes, a woman can change her mind. But why is Liz outside the club, anyway?

    Cheers.

    Hi Lynn,

Any place where there are heterosexual men with money (even if just a little)(I mean money not the heterosexual part) is a place that has potential customers.

What's so high and mighty about Berner Street that there wouldn't have been punters around?
