President Obama declared ISIS was “contained” Friday morning, hours ahead of simultaneous attacks reportedly carried out by ISIS in Paris left at least 140 people dead.

In an interview with George Stephanopolous on “Good Morning America,” Obama asserted that ISIS was not gaining strength and that “we have contained them.”

Id say the real joke is that a few days ago Senate Republicans overwhelmingly blocked a gun control measure that would have prevented individuals on the terror watch list from legally buying guns in the US. They voted on it one day after the San Bernardino shootings.

Isn't Cat Stevens on the terror watch list?

Its all a real joke. All of it. Congress is a joke. The President is a joke. The media is a joke. The punch-lines are usually deadly terrorist attacks, mass shootings, a suicide bomber. Our leaders are all bound by their respective ideologies, shackled by a lack of intellect and immense incompetence. Each media outlet abets whichever ideology to which they subscribe. Bias is pervasive and has become standard operating procedure (but it must be denied at all costs). It's a predictable cycle:

Silly, incompetent, ego maniacal Obama is elected president.

Religious, ego maniacal fools from the political right are elected to Congress.

Ego maniacal, thin-skinned, maybe insane Donald Trump leads in Republican polls.

Lying, corrupt, ego maniacal untrustworthy liar Hillary Clinton leads in Democrat polls.

A new group of greedy, ego maniacal lying idiots will be elected to Congress next year.

            What could go wrong?

He was on the no fly terrorist watch list. Not sure if he still is.

Beowulf-- thanks for correcting me in my previous post.

Here's a interesting comment from Jerry Falwell, Jr.

Wait-- Christians can kill Muslims? But-- that's murder, and isn't there a Commandment against that?

He was denied entry to the United States in 2004, and returned to the U.K., due to being flagged on a "No Fly List" following 9-11.
Cat believed his name Yusuf Islam was confused with someone else with a different spelling, and requested his name be removed.
It was established that the person on the list Youssef Islam.
In 2006, Cat was allowed entry to the US via airplane.

Still I have received no answer about the pipe bombs, which terrorists are using in every country they are 'jihading' in, liberally.
You did receive an answer... when I said bad people will always do bad things... but you choose not to see that and only want to go on and on about guns..... yes pipe bombs can be made... and they will be... but again why does THAT make gun regulations wrong? seriously... and what about the vending machines that fall on people and kill them.... answer to that... more guns.... how about car accidents... what we need for that I bet is more guns as well.....and that damn cancer.... better loosen assault weapons rules so we can protect ourselvs from cancer......

Yes California has the "strictist gun laws" and yet these people ( and many others for that matter) are still able to get an arsenal of weapons.... that proves our point that even the "strict" states ARE NOT STRICT ENOUGH!!!!... it's not a right vs left issue.. a blue state vs red state... this is about PEOPLE BEING KILLED BY GUNS EVERY FEW SECONDS.... yes this time it was muslim extremists... and at planned parenthood a ( more than possibly) Christian extremist... and so on and so on.....

IMHO all handguns and assault rifles should be illegal except for law enforcement and military.

Hunting rifles and shotguns I would keep legal for hunters and target shooters and antique guns for collectors. But I would make it very comprehensive to get the liscence.

Until this is done we will alwys have this insanity of large amounts of people getting killed by guns, and not just the mass killings we always hear about but the constant day to day killings.

It's not a terrorist issue a racism issue a mental health issue a socio economic issue etc. etc. yes these are contributing factors.

First and foremost It's a gun issue. And the ease of obtaining and prevalence of guns in this country.

Let's see these cowardly losers try to kill people with only a knife or club.

Even with gun control, they will still get guns, BUT it will make it harder and reduce the frequency.

With the US, this is perhaps the best that can be hoped for.

Just listening to that Trump idiot, first he calls Mexicans criminals & rapists, now he wants to ban all Muslims from the US.

Lets hope history is not repeating itself, this jerk is beginning to sound a lot like Hitler.
