Interviews where the interviewee says "That's a Good/Great question..." And often it's every other question. Aren't they ALL supposed to be GOOD questions? How often do you hear "That's a STUPID question", even if it IS such?Last edited by C. F. Leon; 08-28-2025, 08:50 PM.

With the risk of being political, but very much an irritation, Donald Trump seems to give interviews regularly, but only to people who ask the questions he wants, in the way that he wants, and then don't point out that he hasn't actually answered the question anyway.
This irritation can be aimed at anyone who behaves like this, but Trump is the example we all recognise.Last edited by Doctored Whatsit; 08-29-2025, 06:57 AM.

Yes, I think I could haver made my point better than I did! I am irritated by people who will only be interviewed by selected individuals, and then choose their own agenda anyway, and Trump is one example of this, and was chosen because we all recognise this from him, but there are others less well known.
I recall an interview where the response to a difficult question was something like, "with respect, that isn't the question we should be asking ourselves at this time. It would be more appropriate to ask ...", and then gave his own totally irrelevant question which he chose to answer in great detail.

I did have quite a few I must admit. Here are a few. I’d like to here everyone else’s.
Automated phone systems that ask you if you’ve heard about the existence of a thing called the internet and then proceed to give you masses of information in the hope that it will discourage you from staying on the line to actually speak to someone. They then inform you that you’ve called when they are experiencing a particularly high volume of calls.
People who begin each sentence with the word ‘so.’ Why this weird trend? …”And what do you do for a living?”….“So I work for my local council….!”

Another one is ‘innit.’ Obviously short for “isn’t it”, but it’s when it’s used that I don’t get. “I’m going to the pub innit,” makes no sense but it’s just used at random.Herlock Sholmes
