When anyone asks you a question, do you ever reply with "yes, no . . .", we often see this in televised interviews, I find that the most infuriating response.

"Yes, no, what I meant was. . .", or
"Yes, no, I was only going to . . .", or
"Yes, no, it was the funniest thing. . ."

What on earth does "Yes, no" mean?, one or the other people, not both!
    Regards, Jon S.

People that begin EVERY sentence with "So..." or some other catch phrase. It's particularly annoying during interviews.

Idiots who are stopped by the police for a traffic violation and refuse to show their drivers license and registration. They then refuse to roll down their window and exit the vehicle as instructed. It always results in the police breaking the window and dragging them from their car. Do they really think if they stay in the car the police will simply let them go? Oh yeah, and swearing at the police and insulting them really helps you as well.

So they compound a simple ticket with the cost of replacing a window and now are charged with several felonies including resisting arrest. Brilliant strategy. "Yeah, I guess I showed those cops."

            Cop: "Ok, you're under arrest."

            Suspect: "No, I'm not."

Remember that phrase folks. It will get you out of an arrest.

In the extremely unlikely event that that doesn't work, try screaming I didn't do anything and get off of me over and over.

People who come to the Library's Quiet Room, and then talk on their phone, or think it's their kids' personal Playroom.
