I love t’moors, but I’m even more of a fan of t’dales. Did you know there’s a contender for the inspiration for Wuthering Heights (the house) in Dentdale? It’s called High Hall.

Charlotte Bronte apparently went to school nearby and it’s suggested that she may have told Emily tales of the area.

Yeah! T'dales are lovely too.

I didn't know that about Dentdale.

I think inspiration came from a number of different locations.

Ponden Hall which is also cited as a template for Wuthering Heights was on the market last year.

If only I had a spare million kicking around!
