Why is it that you consider Stephen Knight to be beyond criticism? Frankly it’s bizarre. 99% of ripperologists disregard his theory so I’m hardly on a one man campaign against him. No one would passionately jump to the defence of Richard Wallace if I criticised the Lewis Carroll theory so why does Knight deserve such exaggerated respect on a Forum which was created to discuss and debate (and yes, disagree?) Even on this thread three other posters have dismissed Knight’s Theory but, as ever, you jump onto your high horse and come charging directly at me. This is obsessional by anyone’s standards.

Respect is earned. The bitterness (as you call it) comes from posters like yourself and your little ‘group.’. I simply respond. I accept that I would be better served by ignoring you but I tend not to. Different opinions are fine. I’ve had different opinions with many posters and no problems have ensued but with you It’s different. You have done things like - repeatedly tried to put words into my mouth to suit your own ends - said things and then denied saying them - employed logic that would embarrass a toddler - repeatedly refused to answer inconvenient questions by ignoring them or by changing the subject like a politician - made claims and then refused to back them up - claimed expertise over the established scientific authorities.

Is it any wonder that I occasionally succumb to frustration?

Ill discuss the case with anyone. I’ll respect anyone’s opinion whether I agree with them or not as long as it’s within the bounds of reason and doesn’t stretch logic and believability past breaking point. Perhaps you (and a couple of others) might, for a change, turn the spotlight on your own attitudes rather than keep obsessing on mine. Respect is hardly calling me a moron as you did. I could list other personal insults and not only from you but I won’t bother (they’re in black and white) The list of posters that I post with amicably far exceeds the handful of posters that I don’t. Look around these boards and see where The Baron is posting. I’ll give you clue....he’s not. He just pop’s up occasionally specifically to have a dig at me. Is that my fault? If you ditched the illogical, unreasoned and obsessive bias there would be no issues.

As I said to Dave, three other posters expressed exactly the same opinion as mine (and one of them in direct response to yourself) and yet, surprise, surprise, you go straight for me. Why was that I wonder? My comment was no different to theirs and was about the theory and nothing personal against you. They got ignored I got the usual over-reaction.

Apologies to Etenguy and other posters for the way that this thread has degenerated through the obsessive childishness of two pointless posters who have drummed up some pathetic kind of campaign against me which has spilled out from the Chapman thread. I accept my share of the blame for responding to their childishness though. Neither would recognise reason or logic if it stood in front of them. I could write a book on the utter drivel that Fishy has spewed out on the Chapman thread over the last few weeks and Dave (a man that can deduce a blackmail plot from the words WILL, YOU and YES) has started spewing out his imbalanced dislike of me after I’d simply said that the victims were killed where they were found. Nonsense that would make a toddler blush with embarrassment. Sadly the threads have been infected by a very few posters. Im finished on this particular thread. Reasoned debate is utterly impossible with posters like this.
