Useless Thread...

Ally, you want to rant a bit? You're not alone.

I wound up getting out of bed at 2:30 this morning. I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. I've made a pot of coffee, caught up on my e-mail, checked my LJ friends list for new posts, answered comments on one of my blog posts over on MySpace, created a dozen or more screen shot images for a chatroom project that I'm doing for Howard, and checked to see if the paint was dry on a little bitty oil lamp that I started restoring yesterday evening... I've done just about everything I can think of that can be done quietly.

I'd go get a book off my shelves, but since the auto accident last October I haven't been able to concentrate on reading - At least, not for very long. I've managed to read one book in all the time I've been on medical leave. I'm used to being able to read a 300 page novel every day. Two novels that size if I didn't have anything else to do that day. I'd love to be able to sue that kid that ran into us. But that's useless - Between the lawyer fees and the insurance company wanting their money back for our medical costs, I'd have to be awarded a million in damages just to break even. I don't see that happening. Not in real life.

It rained last night, so the ground will be too wet for me to start any outdoor projects after sunrise - even if it is warm enough to go outdoors. There's loads to do. Lyn wants to try having a small garden this year. Just a few vegetables, nothing fancy. We'll need to pick a good spot for it and do a little digging, that's all. I think she's going to start the seeds sprouting indoors, then transplant everything later. I hope we can keep the deer from eating it all.

We've got to assemble another garage kit. I bought two of them. They're like a tent with a steel framework underneath. We put one up in the back yard for my old dune buggy and motorcycle, etc. We're going to put the other one up in the front yard to house the new van we had to buy to replace the car that got totaled in the wreck. I can't decide where the best spot for the garage will be. We'll just have to start putting the frame together and move it around to see what works best.

Grrrrrr... That's enough ranting for now. I'd better post this before I hit the time limit for composing stuff here on the boards.

Well, Lyn and I do have to go do some shopping today. At least that'll get us out of the house for a while.

MMMM Flapjacks!!

I am hooked on Kinder Eggs at the moment, you wanna talk about useless,
What the hell are some of the toys inside supposed to be???

I loved em as a kid, but i erected some sort of launch pad for a mini helicopter blade, pulled a mini rip cord and nearly severed an artery!!

Seriously good fun though, but utterley useless.
