  • Hi all,

The 10 year rule doesn't apply to coins, I guess, although I have heard that the person has to be dead. I know Kennedy wasn't dead 10 years before he was put on the half dollar. I always wondered if the racer on the back of the Indiana quarter was Scott Brayton. He was the only driver killed at the speedway right before the coin came out and who was in that modern type of car.

I have a John Kennedy half dollar and a Scott Brayton quarter in my pocket right now.

This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

      • Does the new Indiana Jones movie have something to do with Roswell? I thought I caught a glimpse in the previews.

        • On one of the crates in the movie it says "Roswell 1947" Speilberg is a believer in UFO's and probably put it in there as a nod to his fans and fellow believers.

          • Took a week off writing "Jack the Ripper, From Hell, From Hull?" to concentrate on "Haunted Hull" which has been left behind somewhat.
It is strange how when your not really concentrating on it, things happen that push the project along. For example, I have visited almost every public house in the city and have about 50 locations with great histories, paranormal happenings and who are intrested in appearing in the book.

A week or so, I recieved loads of "New" reports featuring New Locations, so I have been involved in researching those. Having a full checkable factual history can help solve the mystery of a haunting.

This week I recieved loads of "New" reports on more locations, one of which is very very old, and intrested in my work.
The strange thing is, everything that has been reported in this location has been located at similar locations within a small radius!

Ontop of that we are visiting a location this evening which is a 17th century merchants house, known locally as "Blaydes House". The Blaydes family were responsible for the construction of the "HMS Bounty" of "Mutiny on the Bounty" fame so it should be an intresting night.

I am taking my wife tonight, the last time we did an investigation together, she was touched on the head, and spent most of the night, screaming and crying!
            Regards Mike

              Hi Plang

You might be interested to know that Bowie has just given the OK for a stage musical containing his songs to be produced along the lines of the mega successful Queen musical 'We Will Rock You' which will be called 'The Man Who Fell To Earth'.

You can't even get NBC on satellite?

                      • Well, the saucer show was pretty much standard stuff again - Gulf Breeze, Phoenix, Belgium and such - so don't fret if you missed it.

                        • No NBC on Satelite. It is close to 1,000 channels of advertisments and reruns!!

Great night last night, I saw a little boy, mousey blonde hair, slightly curly!
We were in a library and I was sat low looking through the shelves, when I saw something "pop up" and look straight at me, then rather cheekily it darted off!
Now I was both scared but shocked, as I was trying to rationalise it, for a minute I could not even get my words out!
We had lights turn on, on demand and our fair share of knocks and taps in repsonse to questions. We also had several unusual temperature spike!
                          Regards Mike

                          • Thanks for the heads up on The Man Who Fell To Earth stage musical Stephen Thomas.
If it comes to Vancouver, may for once in my life buy tickets to a stage musical.
But will likely buy it when it is available on DVD.
( have Ziggy Stardust... the movie...concert, already, and it is great stuff! )

                            • I have a crazy little mystery of my own - suddenly I am the beneficiary of a magazine I never ordered or knew existed called DRAFT - it's about beer fanciers. Last week and this week I got issues of it, which have my name on the cover. I not only do not know how I got this magazine, but I'm not even a beer fancier. I'll drink it occasionally, but it is not my favorite drink (not even my favorite alcoholic drink). Has anyone heard of this magazine before?

                              Jeff.

                              • Hi Jeff,

No, I haven't heard of that magazine. Maybe you're in some sort of test market.

I had a similar situation in 1997 when I started getting Playboy magazine even though I hadn't subscribed to it. At first, I thought that they were sending me a sample or two and would then hit me up for a subscription but they just kept delivering a new one every month. After about six months, I began to think that someone like one of my kids had subscribed to it for me as a sort of joke but no one would own up to it. Finally, last year I got a card from them asking if I wanted to continue to receive free copies. I thought sure I'll take it for nothing, sent the card back and still get a copy every month. I don't know what the deal is but I'm now in my eleventh year of getting it for nothing. Can't beat the price!

                                Mike-What did you see?
