    General ‘insert a name’

You missed out ‘military industrial complex ‘ blah, blah.

All entirely unconnected to the Kennedy assassination which was provably committed by Lee Harvey Oswald acting entirely alone.

You should look at the facts before deciding who might have had a motive for Kennedy’s death.

He attempted to kill General Walker
He threatened to go after Nixon with a gun
He defected to the USA’s main enemy threatening to give away secrets
He had proven mental health issues
Acted entirely differently and strangely pre-assassination
    His gun killed Kennedy
    His prints were on it
He was seen at the 6th floor window by more than one person
Not one single person saw an assassin elsewhere
The place suggested as the second gunman spot was impossible to escape from unseen
Oswald fled the scene and was desperate to get away from Dealey Plaza
Oswald lied his a**e off after the murder
He killed Tippit witnessed by numerous people
He had the murder weapon on him when arrested
The autopsy, x-ray photos, x-rays, Zapruder film, autopsy pathologists and 14 others ALL confirmed that Kennedy was shot from behind
The autopsy photos, x-rays and Zapruder films have been minutely examined by numerous experts and found entirely genuine

Yes…the d I fence is on the CT side

    • The FBI and CIA both had files on Oswald and Ruby before the assassination.
198 pages worth on Oswald according to one commentator who is trawling through the recent released files. That's about 197 pages more than those who dismiss Oswald as a 'nobody.'

Interesting to see Robert Oswald quoted as a reliable source from Fiver who in his previous post said that the Oswald household was 'toxic' due to an uninterested/overindulgent mother.

I've no problem with Oswald's behaviour, attitudes or previous conduct being thrown into the mix if it is relevant to supporting the WC theory that he was a Lone Gunman. His political opinions, familiarity with weaponry, FPFC canvassing are all fair game in that regard. His marital situation, employment record don't fall into that category without a fair dash of psychobabble. For example, Oswald's work record at the TSBD was considered to be perfectly adequate. Clear evidence surely that he was lying low before making his big move? But if he had been considered a lazy scoundrel who spent his days dodging duties we would be told that such behaviour is typical of the rejected malcontent liable to commit assassination.

      • To suggest that Jack Ruby was a mobster who was told to kill Oswald to silence him flies in the face of all of the known evidence.

As we all know, Ruby went to the Western Union office to send some money to one of his dancers. There was one customer ahead of him in the queue. If there had been two, or if the one customer had come up against any issue that made their transaction a minute or two longer to complete or if, for example, the clerk had been interrupted by a phone call then Ruby would have been too late to kill Oswald. Ruby’s money order and the receipt were both stamped at 11.17. The O’Neal funeral home logged the call from the police for an ambulance at 11.21.

The Western Union clerk, Doyle Lane, said that he only spoke to Ruby very briefly but he said that he appeared calm and was in no hurry as he saw him leave. How could he not have been in a hurry?

The distance from the Western Union Office to where Oswald was shot was 454.5 feet. At the pace that Lane saw Ruby walking it would have taken him one minute thirty five seconds to travel the route.

So how long was Ruby in that basement before shooting Oswald. Local TV station KRLD handed the tape of their recording over to the Dallas Police. Lieutenant’s Wallace and McCaghren submitted their report to Chief Curry. They timed Ruby from when Lieutenant Pierce’s car left the basement passing Ruby as he came down until Oswald was shot twice for accuracy and got 56 seconds both times. An NBC newsman testified before the WC that he’d seen Ruby coming down the Main Street ramp and said that it was no more than fifteen to thirty seconds before Oswald was shot. Ruby himself said that he’d seen Oswald emerge just as he’d reached the bottom of the ramp.

If Ruby was a Mafia hit man how could he have cut things so fine? This would also have required the police’s involvement, including Captain Fritz, or how else would they have been sure that Oswald wasn’t taken slightly earlier? How can this make sense? It doesn’t of course. If Ruby was a killer employed by the Mafia he’d have been there at least five minutes earlier. Letting down the Mob is never a good idea. No one knew exactly what time Oswald was being moved. The only reference was made by Chief Curry who had told the Press if the got there by 10.00 at the earliest they would be in time to see Oswald.

Then we have Forrest Sorrels, agent in charge of the Dallas Secret Service, who said that when Oswald was told that he was being moved “he requested that he be permitted to get a shirt out of…the clothes that had been brought in, that belonged to him, because the shirt that he was wearing at the time he was apprehended was taken, apparently for laboratory examination. And so Captain Fritz sent out and got his clothes and, as I recall it, he selected a dark colored kind of sweater type shirt…then he was taken out.” So this added one or two minutes to the time. If it hadn’t happened Oswald would have been gone.

Then we have the contribution of US postal Harry D. Holmes. He decided to go in and see if he could help Captain Fritz (Holmes made the decision on the spur of the moment as he was about to go to church with his family) Oswald morning interrogation was due to end at 10.00 but it went on much longer mainly due to Holmes taking part. The part of the interview that was conducted by Holmes is on record and is considerable. If Holmes hadn’t turned up and added his questioning of Oswald the interview would have ended much earlier.

The only information available was that Oswald was due to be transferred at 10.00. The call from Karen Carlin to Jack Ruby on his home phone was logged at 10.17. Ruby’s room mate said that after the call Ruby shaved and got ready and didn’t leave until around 11.00.

Conspiracy theorists like Anthony Summers have tried to accuse Dallas Police officers of being ‘in on it’ due to supposedly strange behaviour. The four usually cited are Sergeant Patrick Dean (in charge of securing the basement) and three of his men, Officer William Harrison, Detective Louis D. Miller and Lieutenant George Butler. To do this they use the usual trick of trying to rewrite the actual evidence to suit the the theory. An example of this is that just after 8.00 Harrison and Miller went to the Deluxe Diner (near the station) for coffee. Anthony Summers wrote that Miller testified that while they were there “Officer Harrison received a telephone call from an unknown person.” He used quotation marks but this wasn’t what Miller actually said. Miller testified “When the person that works there at the diner answered the phone, he said, ‘Phone for one of you.’ Officer Harrison answered it and came back to the counter and said we were to come back to the office as soon as we finished eating and were to remain there until further notice.” Question: “Did he tell you who made the telephone call?” Answer: “No, sir, he never did, and I never did ask him.” Question: “Do you know whether it was somebody from the police department that made that call?” Answer: “I presumed it was.” So clearly it wasn’t a mysterious unknown person, it was just a person that was unknown to Miller. Harrison testified that it was from Charles Goolsby at the station.

Conspiracy theorists won’t let up though. In his book The Ruby Cover Up, Seth Kantor said that Harrison was given a polygraph concerning his movements that morning as they might have included Ruby and that the results were “not conclusive.” Kantor provides absolutely no source for this suggestion though. The only evidence of Harrison being given a polygraph came from Lieutenant Jack Revill who said that Harrison was given one concerning Ruby’s location before he shot Oswald. Harrison passed the test.

Dallas Police, concerned about their failure to protect Oswald and being aware of the ‘whispers’ undertook an extensive investigation and found no evidence of any complicity between any police officer and Jack Ruby.

And let’s remember…even after being handed the death penalty, Ruby never made any accusations against the Dallas police or anyone else. Would he have kept silence with the people who had double-crossed him? Ruby even gave an inscribed and signed copy of the Warren Report to the officer whose testimony was most damning to him. He also tried to give him his watch and gun.

Finally, Ruby, as everyone who knew him would say, absolutely loved his dog Sasha. And yet we are expected to believe that he just left her in the car knowing that he was unlikely to escape from a basement full of cops? Nonsense.

We have absolute proof that this wasn’t a planned event.

        • Condescending remarks aside.. David Ferrie was Oswalds Civil Air Patrol commander in 1955. He was also a private investigator for Carlos Marcello and a known CIA informer for Guy Bannister. The New Orleans FPCC was run out of the CIA Camp Street address. These Are proven facts.

But Oswald, who was a Ferrie subordinate never had any connection with the CIA. Eventhough he was interacting with them in New Orleans, the center of all Anti Castro activity.

The Warren Commission at this point is laughable. It only took 4 months to investigate the most important crime of the 20th Century. Right. A slam dunk. It was an incomplete force with NO Standard of Proof whatsoever. So if you WC folks believe there was A Standard of Proof? Then how do you explain the fact that the WC never investigated Oswalds relationships?
Didn't happen, David Ferrie is a perfect example.

Senator Richard Schweiker received confirmation from J. Edgar Hoover that Oswald was an FBI informant.

Ruby had ties to Mafioso Paul Jones in Chicago in 1946. The Dallas Police confirmed that Ruby ran guns and was into prostitution. That was all controlled by the MOB and was all anti Castro Activity.

Robert Blakey thought Oswald was a Mob hit. Ruby also had serious ties to Trafficante. The CIA collided with Him, Giancana and Roselli to kill Castro. Ruby made over 100 calls to Mob Associates from September to November 1963.

If you want to paint these facts as conspiracy theory and the WC as Gospel then you are living in 1964. There are many many researchers, witnesses that have come forward and connected many dots.

Was Oswald CIA? He interacted with known assets.
Was Ruby in the Mob? The HSCA admitted Ruby had many high level MOB connections. He ran guns, gambling and prostitutes. All Mob controlled.

The Military Industrial Complex? Halliburton, Lockheed, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman...you mean the guys who brought us U2's and Blackbirds??? It's the biggest Biz on the planet.

But its all a Conspiracy Theory so says the government...let it be written..let it be done.

          • The timing is an interesting one. Enough evidence places Oswald on the lower floors of the TSB at 12.15.
By his own admission Bonnie Ray Williams left the 6th floor at around that time after eating his chicken sandwich and gulping some coke. So it was very fine timing by calculating old Lee to be leaving things so late, especially given that the motorcade was planned to pass by at 12.20. Surely he had set up the 'sniper's nest' before then. But Bonnie Ray was oblivious to all around him? No wonder 20 year old Bonnie Ray, an African American, was a friendly witness.

Fine timing number two. After assassinating the POTUS Oswald takes the trouble to conceal his weapon before being confronted on the 2nd floor by Marrion Baker. He is a calm, not out of breath, and appears surprised. Gary Oldman could not have done a better job.

Fine timing number three. Oswald attempts to leave on a bus but decides against this as traffic is so slow. Within minutes of his doing so armed police enter the bus. Good timing once again by Lee.

Fine timing number four. LHO leaves his rooming house at around 1.03 by general consent. To kill JD Tippit at 1.15 he would have to be a real athlete for sure. If we accept the likelier time of 1.09 it is impossible unless he was driven there.

Fine timing number five. LHO decides to ask for a jersey before being transferred to the County Jail, we are told. Bad timing Lee.

In his role on the Church Commission Schweiker found that J. Edgar Hoover had written to Rankin saying that Jack Ruby had, in 1959, acted as a confidential informant for the FBI.

The Church committee found top secret documents showing that the CIA were plotting with the Mafia to kill Castro under the directorship of Dulles without Presidential authorisation. Schweiker stated his opinion that the Warren Commission had "collapsed like a house of cards", was set up at the time "to feed pablum to the American people", and was one of the biggest cover-ups in US history.

A design feature of the Carcano was that the ammo clip fell out of the rifle when the last round was loaded into the chamber, so Oswald presumably also takes the trouble to retrieve the clip and replace it in the rifle without getting finger prints on the clip, but not not take the trouble to pick up the incriminating shell casings which should have ejected behind him rather than way out in front of his position at the window. He also manages to get from the sixth floor to the second floor without being seen or heard by the men on the fifth floor, the woman on the fourth floor or the two women going down the stairs at the same time. One wonders where he may have hidden the large package with the dis-assembled rifle in it, and when he had the time to re-assemble it without getting finger prints all over it.

I am particularly impressed by the fact that Ruby took a nine hour polygraph test, and was said to have "passed with flying colours". Whilst not absolutely conclusive, this is powerful evidence.

                  • Carlos Marcello controlled gambling and prostitution in Dallas. To think Ruby wasn't affiliated with the MOB, on some level, is absurd There is no way that Ruby could have run any of this without giving the MOB their cut. None.

That would mean that every shopkeeper who paid protection money was ‘affiliated’ to the Mob. And every member of the Teamsters Union were ‘affiliated’ to the Mob. Everyone that paid money back to a loan shark was ‘affiliated’ to the Mob. Ruby was a nightclub owner in the 60’s. Of course he’s going to mix with mobsters and crooks in some way. It doesn’t make him Al Capone though.

                      • Ruby knew Trafficante from his days in Chicago. He visited Trafficante in Tresconia Prison in 1959 where Castro had locked him up. Ruby also shipped guns to Lewis McWillie who was Trafficante's former Manager of the Tropicana in Havana. The HSCA concluded Ruby was a MOB courier.

                          • There was no evidence Oswald met with Kostikov. Hoover did not believe Oswald was actually there based on video and voice surveillance of the Embassy in Mexico.

The Gale memorandum was the FBI playing the blame game. Seems odd since Oswald was an FBI informant according to Hoover. Taking blame after the fact eventhough they knew all about Oswald.

Could you show us the proof that Hoover said that Oswald was an informant. I’ve seen reports that Hoover was concerned that Oswald had been used by agents as an informant but none of this has been validated as far as I’m aware. Rumour doesn’t count of course.

As to the man Aguilar supposedly debunks, Luis Alvarez, here's what Alvarez said about the jet effect.

Or for something less dry, Penn and Teller demonstrate the jet effect.
