Corey, I'm the first to admit I'm a bit severe that way, but I happen to firmly believe that the point of publishing an article or book is to bring forward new information acquired through research and/or the discussion of new ideas and interpretations brought forward by the author. I've never published anything that was not both in my own field. Actually, I'd rather die that do this.
You can read almost the entire David Yost book in the link posted in my post #793. In 2 instances there are about 20 pages unavailable, and in another one another 50 pages missing. Bear in mind that on amazon and on GoogleBooks availability changes from day to day, so it can be that one day you might have even the entire book available, so it's totally worth it to re-visit the link.
As for not having yet offered nothing to Ripperology (duh), I'd love to try, in a few weeks, and particularly in the next months. Obviously trying doesn't guarantee finding anything, especially if there isn't anything (having survived) to be found.
As for the (“comparatively polite“) PMs, I'm more for carrying an aggressive discussion out in the open, in front of witnesses, but let's not continue killing this thread, and yes, for the most part due to my untimely, chatty contribution, for which I profusely apologize to all.

How many times do I need to ask you for your sources and evidence for Mrs. Mortimer's own words "almost the entire time" being, in fact, a ten minute gap which just happened to conveniently squeeze in between everybody elses testimony? I have been asking repeatedly for the sources on this since before the article was even published, and i'm still yet to see any.

As far as the vast majority of proof goes, and certainly everything viable that I am aware of, Mortimer's claim was that she was at her door between 12.30 and 1, and only saw Goldstein during that time - in which case, no matter how many excuses you want to make or how many facts you want to twist, her statements simply don't fit in with the known facts.

A thousand apologies for mentioning you like this, Debra, I shouldn't have, really. I was referring to the socialist pamphlets you were going through, but I know it's not your most important point of research right now. There's something I want to try at the Marlborough Courts in about 2 weeks about which I'd like to ask your opinion, but it has time. Plus I'd like to ask your opinion about something pertaining to Cavendish Bentink and his stepmother, but this has TONS of time. Many-many apologies for mentioning these here.

I hadn't read the book yet, so asking you the contents would be redundant. Also, I don't wish to argue with you, I just wanted my views seen, as you seemed to ignore my, comparitively polite PMs.

Corey, let's not continue this discussion. In a couple of years you'll be able to read an entire book in an hour too, especially if you're familiar with the subject. A few years (or decades) in college and research does this to you. And never underestimate the importance of indexes for figuring out the thematic percentage of a book and what sources are discussed in there. You'll figure it all out in due time. I promise.
