i thought this with Maddie McCann with the sniffer dogs, in the hotel and the hire car. (sanitary protection) there dogs !
i am not ex police .
the cloth could be used as a decoy from the JtR homebound direction.

Well spotted.That was Nichols who was murdered not far from the London Hospital in 1888.

Number 2 was Catherine Conway/Eddowes.
