The GSG is not coincidental. Jack never left a clue of a bloodied apron or such like before, why wait until the 4th victim? He left the clue because he knew it would be picked up and connected to the writing on the wall. It could nbot be any more deliberate. He wanted that message to be read.
But if he wanted the message to be read would he not be upset that it was erased before it got out to the general public? If that were the case, why not write a message in blood on the walls of Mary's apartment? If he wrote the GSG, I find it very strange that he did not write anything at Millers Court. (yes, yes I know FM...but I think that is simply pareidolia.)
