Hi Joshua,

Of course you're right, half-inch (pronounced arf-inch) rhymes with pinch, which is slang for steal. I've never heard of Ten being rhyming slang for Big Ben, surely its the other way round.

The list is a useful primer for foreign students, although there a few classics missing, GUT's China, for example.

There are a dozen or so in the list that I regularly use without thinking.

Nice one, MrBarnett. Ever since seeing those adverts, I've never been able to work out why rabbit=talk. Now a tea-towel provides the answer :-)

And can you show me one post where I "Put the knife into" Edwards, let alone where took every opportunity to do so.

If he chooses to publish a book using wrong information and claim "Case Solved" he must expect to get flack.

But I am sure he is a big boy and can stick up for himself, and doesn't need you to fight his battles.

Don't get you started on the Michelmas daisies. Believe me, it doesn't need you much to "get started", where Mr Edwards is concerned. Edwards produced a book, not dissimilar in inaccuracies to many Ripper authors, it's the genre. Get over it. He produced a book made some money. I'll tell you what, I'll start a thread discussing Stephen Knights book, and you can pull that to bits as well.

You don't get it do you? Or choose not to see it more like. You had no idea who had opened that museum, and yet in here, in a very well viewed public forum discussing all things Jack The Ripper, you chipped in that it had been opened by

You had no idea at that point who had opened the museum.

Mr Edwards book was very misleading in many aspects yes, as I said though my criticism of you has nothing to do with that.

But I was dead right was I not.

It is being opened by a Person with a crackpot theory, Edwards.

Just not another crackpot theory the same one.
