  • Have you noticed, Abby ?
It's easier to get food and drinks when you have some money.

    • no money

      Hello Abby. Thanks.

Absolutely correct--neither woman had money on her when found. I suppose their clients used invisible money to pay?

      Cheers.

        The murderer simply took it.

Weren't Annie and Kate's belongings gone through? Not going into Stride. "MJK" is simple as they were in her room. The only thing about that that has a simple explanation.

              Hello DLDW. Thanks.

Yes, Annie's rings were stolen and her pocked cut through. Her effects were arranged in a neat pile.

And it was after sun up. But, clearly the murderer was in no hurry.

Kate was rifled too. But, no neat pile.

As I have said before, I think anyways, maybe he engaged in the riffling whilst waiting on the body to bleed out some. Retrieving one's money is not a unreasonable thing to do, especially if one is poor.

                • Did people ever dumpster dive for food them? If so, could Eddowes have been concerned about the time, because there was a prime dumpster-diving hour, when most of the restaurants closed?

Also, I don't know whether this happened back in 1888, in poor sections, but I know that when I was in college, I'd hear people talk about picking up abandoned drinks in bars, where mixed drinks are really expensive. I was pretty much eavesdropping, so I didn't ask questions, but I don't know whether people were watching for literally abandoned drinks, because people would leave before they finished, and you can't take a drink out of a bar (at least, not in any state where I've ever gone to a bar), or whether they were actually stealing drinks from people who went to the bathroom, or got up to dance.

I don't think that has ever been a time where some people didn't go through trash for food.

The neat pile suggest she could have put them there herself intending to pick them up after engaging in her sexual activity.

No evidence to show the killer cut her pocket. Best not jump to the wrong conclusions.

As to Kate how do we know that the items found on the floor did not simply fall out of her pockets when she fell to the to the ground or when the killer lifted up her clothes.

Two sides to every argument it seems though as if many want to look at it one sided

                          • cuts and such

                            Hello Trevor. Thanks.

"The neat pile suggests she could have put them there herself intending to pick them up after engaging in her sexual activity."

But why take them out in the first place? And if the killer did it, surely he was mentally unstable?

"No evidence to show the killer cut her pocket. Best not jump to the wrong conclusions."

Whom cut it then? Surely not Annie?

"As to Kate how do we know that the items found on the floor did not simply fall out of her pockets when she fell to the ground or when the killer lifted up her clothes."

The killer cut through her clothes. Unlike Polly and Annie. And how does a mustard tin merely fall out?

                            Cheers.

Keeping with that line. No money was exchanged, okay, why can he not simply be going through their belongings to see if there was anything valuable?

I believe that Annie's assailant was doing just that. Sadly, he had no idea what was valuable, thinking brass rings were gold.

                                Cheers.
