This week's update and "the decision" is getting closer as she is less than 3 months away from delivery.

      Isaac Matthew
      Isaac Charles
      Tyler Benjamin

Unfortunately for naming purposes, the last name begins with G, is seven letters three syllables, and Slavic.

Isaac is my first choice. Won't bias you on middle name. Tyler is my wife's first choice. I really dislike Tyler but love the diminutive Ty. So I'd just call him Ty. Benjamin is her first-choice middle name and I'm searching for other cool middle names to suggest as a compromise, although Benjamin isn't bad.

I also should note that I suggested Tyler Jack because I thought it looks super cool and it was immediately rejected due to her knowledge of this thread.

So do I, Barnaby. Perhaps it's because "Tyler" sounds more like a surname than a forename? Still, it's better than "McKenzie", "Travis" or "Jackson", from that point-of-view

What's wrong with Isaac Benjamin? I think that would be a very nice name.

I'm rather late coming to this thread and haven't got time just now to read through all the 'entries'. So perhaps my choice has already been mentioned. I'll mention it any way.

                Joel

Pardon? Oh, all right. It was just a suggestion. It's my current favourite name for a boy.

                  Hello Carol.

                  Joel sounds nice.
But all Joels are doomed to become heavy drunkers.
At least, this is my experience.
                  Although I'm not a Joel.
The Davids, you see, appreciate fine and peaty single malts because they are true poets, like King David.

                  Bisous Carol !

                    Hi David,

Would you think me impertinent if I asked you just how many fine and peaty single malts you had drunk when you wrote the above mail?

But I'd imbibed a few when I read it...and it sounds fine to me!

I agree with Sam - Tyler is too much like a surname. And does it actually mean anything? For instance, Charles means manly, while Caroline means womanly. Shortening it to Ty is better, but then people might think he's a Tyson. Don't like that personally.

                        Love,

I'm 90% sure the name is going to be Owen Charles unless mom has a change of heart. I can't think of an Owen connection so, alas, my plans have been thwarted.

But at least you got Charles

Yes, that name, at least, was consistently used by Mr. Crossmere.

                                Hi Barnaby,

Owen is a Welsh name so you could think of it as a Mary Kelly connection.
