The other destinations in BC are Trail and Vancouver. Going to travel back east after that.

I guess you meant Vancouver city and not Vancouver Island (Victoria) ? Traveling thru BC you will notice the landscape changes a lot between mountain ranges, valleys, forests, rivers, lakes and the coast. I hope you're enjoying your trip.

Jukka, are you watching the NHL Heritage Classic between the Canucks and the Senators today? A Canadian experience is watching a hockey game from a sports bar/restaurant.
In Vancouver there is usually no snow in the city therefore one is able to golf in morning then ski or snowboard at Grouse Mountain, Cypress and Mount Seymour in the afternoon. You seem to visiting Canada while it is experiencing its worse winter in 30 yrs, so Vancouver does have snow today but it should be gone in a day to two. Stanley Park and Capilano Suspension bridge are both popular with tourists.


Vancouver Island is one of the most scenic areas in BC such as:
Butchard Gardens, Cathedral Grove (old growth temperate rain forest, trees 300-1000 yrs old), Long Beach /Tofino area, Totem poles, Whale watching tours, Empress Hotel, Parliament buildings: I second Magpie’s suggestion to try a Nanaimo bar while in BC (most bakeries should offer them)!

If you’re interested in hockey history, Victoria Cougars won the Stanley Cup in 1925 against the Montreal Canadians of the NHL, the Cougars were the last non NHL team to win the Stanley cup.
