Why undo over 300 years of union?

Us English and those Scots aren't really alike at all.
Compare the Church of England and the Church of Scotland: the former a half way house between Protestantism and Catholicism; the latter Presbytarian. The church has formed our respective cultures.
Scotland has had a fair impact on the United States.
And, Heinrich, give your head a shake son. You only think you know what you're talking about.

I personally favour Scottish independence, because succeed or fail the most important thing is to do it off your own back.
But, like it or not, the United Kingdom is one of, if not the, most successful unions in the modern world; of which Scotland has punched its weight and reaped the rewards.
And, there's nothing worse than a know nothing kraut who thinks he knows what he's talking about, pontificating about peace, harmony and good will to all men. You're only peaceful because you keep getting slapped down every time you get uppity.

Presbyterians
Hello Mac. Would you be astonished if I said my Domini used the "Book of Common Prayer" for the sacraments? But it's true. He used to have a church in London.
And no, we Presbyterians don't have bishops--we call our bishops something else.
So those Prayer Book and bishops wars were love's labour lost.
So maybe the Scots and English converge a good bit after all?
Cheers.

The Union has been a success. Let's see if our European brothers can emulate such a success. Only a few years in and its not looking so good.
