I love the movie threads- how about one for noteworthy final words uttered by dying characters, or at least the last coherent thing they say before being offed. Here are some from my personal collection:

Actual famous last words are my favorite. Especially Gen. John Sedgewick Killed at Spotsylvania during the Civil War. His aides tried to move him further back from the battle, to which he replied -

"They couldn't hit an elephant at this dist..."

I just remembered one from t.v., on "NYPD Blue." Remember Dennis Franz as Detective Sippowitz? He had such a horrible hard life as an alcoholic, then sobered up and began to improve, found love and got married to an attorney and had a child with her when he was middle-aged and thought he had no hope. And then she was struck by a stray bullet in a courthouse shooting, and just as we the viewers were thinking, "Oh God, you've got to be kidding me, as if Sippowitz needs any more pain in his life!", her last desperate fearful words as she lay dying in his arms were- "Take care of the baby."
