I'm sorry but you are wrong. Babybird altered the parameters of this debate by stating quite forcefully she was referring to ALL VICTIMS - I REPEAT ALL VICTIMS - of rape. If she only meant some victims then perhaps she should have said so!

No which is why i worded it as an either or situation: If he can prove due dilligence he is proven innocent and the charges fail in court. If he can not prove due dilligence then yes, he is to blame: He slept with a child, with out taking proper percautions to check her age.Originally posted by Bob Hinton View PostYou really can't be so stupid as to believe that if someone has a defence to a charge they are automatically acquitted are you?
Either way, the victim was blameless in the eyes of the law. She was a minor unable to give consent. There Will Be Trouble! http://www.amazon.co.uk/A-Little-Tro...s=T.+E.+Hodden

"What difference does it make?" isnt an answerOriginally posted by Ally View Post
What difference does it make? Why would men want to wear plaid shorts with striped tops? Why would men want to wear their pants hanging down their butts? Why would men want to wear penny loafers or tennis shoes, the most butt ugly clothing on the planet? Why would they want to wear white tank tops ? Why baggy tshirts? Why in the name of god would men want to wear baseball caps or fishing hats?
Why would any man want to wear that crap?
I dont wear the clothes you describe, neither does anyone else I know,I dont think I know anyone who knows anyone else who does either,so I cant answer you.Maybe you should have said "I dont know"

Yes that's right again Bob. All victims of rape. Statutory rape is not rape in the terms we are discussing because consent is involved, it all revolves around whether the participants were deemed legally capable of giving that consent, which is a totally different issue from rape where one person forces themselves bodily and intimately on another person. Like I said, I stand by my statement, all victims of rape are blameless, because we are talking about rape not statutory rape. If you want to talk about statutory rape, start another thread and we can all give our views on that subject. Most people have been able to distinguish, however, that that is not what we are talking about here. Apart from you, that is.Originally posted by Bob Hinton View PostAnd you are wrong. In the eyes of the law they are the same and carry the same penalties. And please don’t tell me I am trying to make it about a different subject. You wrote: ALL VICTIMS – I REPEAT ALL VICTIMS ARE BLAMELESS. If you didn’t mean all victims then perhaps you shouldn’t have written it.
You've made statements supporting the premise that victims are to blame for their own rapes. Read the links i have posted from the campaigns going on to re-educate people as to the damage this does.Since when have I ever voiced an opinion stating that I support rapists? Your callous disregard for the truth and the facts make you either a fool or a vicious liar. You pick.
And yet again, you are avoiding the million dollar question. What should I wear to avoid being raped? When i was raped i was in bed with the guy naked. Oh yes of course we already established that was my fault for previously consenting to sex with him. He was entitled to have me any time after that wasn't he. Oh and when my Uncle was molesting me I was 13 and in my pyjamas...my fault again I guess for being provocative. Errata has posted showing no matter what she wore she was at risk. Clothing has nothing to do with it. The precautions we should take are not related to our dress. You peddling myths that they are support misinformation and allow juries to question women on their wear in a rape trial instead of focussing on the real problem...how the rapist behaved.I have never ever intimated any support for rapists at all, what I have said, and continue to say is that it is up to all of us to take reasonable precautions against being attacked, and if a police officer suggests that modifying the way certain women dress might be a sensible precaution who am I to disagree?Last edited by babybird67; 06-21-2011, 09:02 PM.babybird

Wow Bob. Way to call me stupid... Then ask me to go back in time and REMOVE A POST THAT WAS ALREADY REMOVED!Originally posted by Bob Hinton View PostReally? This must be in a special little Tom Tom court. There is no such verdict as innocent.
I do hope you don't think I am kidding about suing you if you don't remove your post. I am deadly serious.
Oh and a hint Bob. You are FOUND not guilty by a jury, but you can indeed prove your innocence of the charge. One is common parlence, one is the legal term. I did not say he would be found Not Guilty, in the verdict. I said he would prove himself innocent, and the charges fail. This need not require a not guilty verdict. Don't confuse yourself.Last edited by TomTomKent; 06-21-2011, 08:59 PM.There Will Be Trouble! http://www.amazon.co.uk/A-Little-Tro...s=T.+E.+Hodden

No Bob, I said all victims of rape, that's what I meant, and I say it again.
You're the one trying to alter the parameters of the debate. Don't seem to be getting much support I see.babybird

I do know the answer. The reason women wear slutty clothes is that they want to. Pure and simple and no other explanation needed or required. They can wear whatever they want, just like men can.Originally posted by glyn View Post"What difference does it make?" isnt an answer

Which would include statutory rape victims as well? Oh of course not because according to you:Originally posted by babybird67 View PostNo Bob, I said all victims of rape, that's what I meant, and I say it again.

Statutory rape is not rape
No of course it isn't, they just couldn't be bothered to find another word to describe it! As I predicted twisting and turning and squeeling "I didn't mean to say that"
Well I think if that's your level of understanding on the subject I'll just let you get on with it!

Err not quite Bob since I have re-iterated several times that's exactly what I meant, and have said it again since. Don't give up the day job in favour of enrolling in the Society of Psychics just yet, eh?Originally posted by Bob Hinton View PostWhich would include statutory rape victims as well? Why is the word statutory there Bob?
Is it perchance to distinguish it from RAPE which is different to STATUTORY RAPE? Or is that too simple a concept for you?Last edited by babybird67; 06-21-2011, 09:10 PM.babybird

It wasnt rape I found funny BB ,it was your constant habit of distorting peoples words, accusing them of,in my case condoning paedophilia,in another case,of supporting rapists,of twisting and turning, then denying you ever did such a thing, and would instantly admit your sin ,if indeed it had ever occurred.........Pure Pantomime at its best...why pay for entertainment ?Originally posted by babybird67 View PostI'm glad you find rape so funny Glyn.

Actually they did find different words to describe it, depending on where you are when you perform the act you may be charged with Sexual Assualt, Unlawful carnal knowledge, or carnal knowledge of a minor.Originally posted by Bob Hinton View PostWhich would include statutory rape victims as well? More pertinent is that rape, what Bob is calling Statutory rape and the rape of a child under the age of 13 are all listed as seperate entities under (I think) sections of the sexual offences act 2003 in the UK. Meaning they are both tried as sexual assualts, but are considered seperate entities.Last edited by TomTomKent; 06-21-2011, 09:18 PM.There Will Be Trouble! http://www.amazon.co.uk/A-Little-Tro...s=T.+E.+Hodden
