Yep, another depressing weekend - I can handle losing games against good opposition but we SHOULD, by now, be winning games against teams like Melbourne. Their list is no better than ours. Oh well, bit late now....

The pic will be coming shortly. And i'm glad to hear that the Yankees are doing well.

Not normally a tennis fan but good to see Bernard Tomic going well also....

WE WON ONE!!!!!!! And I actually got to watch the whole match on-line.. very happy with this one (so what if it was only Port Adelaide at this point a win is a win... anythingt o stay off the bottom of the ladder!!) and yiks.. sorry about your loss.. I know Carlton is a damn good team but wow.. that was a 101 point victory (what can I say though.. you beat us twice and still have a better record then my Lions!!).....

anything else at all new and exciting...been trying to recover from all the health issues here.. still very tired and worn out but getting better every day...and my Yankees are still in 1st place so evrything else seems ok

Was a good win by your mob on the weekend, they fought it out well - wish I could say the same about the Tigers. You can't comprehend how depressing a loss like that is when we supporters have put up with so much from them over a period of umpteen years now. All I can say is that the performance better improve this weekend or there'll be mutiny amongst the supporters I reckon lol.

Will hopefully be posting off some stuff sometime next week.

*Sigh* Congrats, Dr. Strange. Looks like we're in for at least a few more years of mediocrity at Tigerland yet unfortunately. As a fervent and loyal supporter since about 1994, when I was 5, and having seen the "performances" we've dished out year after year during that time, i'm not sure how much of it I can take...I'm honestly not.

Thanks for the welcome Steadmund hopefully you discovered the Lions when they were still had pride;-)

As to Adam, well Micheal Hurley was fantastic, other than that neither teams exactly shone. Brisbane. Richmond and Essendon. maybe this thread should be renamed bottom eight thread.

The problem is, Dr., that all the teams who are rubbish at the moment - Brisbane, Port Power, Adelaide, etc - and even Essendon but they're not really rubbish - the one thing they have in common is that they have ALL won at least one premiership in the last decade. Fresh in the memories of most of their supporters bar the youngest and newest and therefore crapness at the present time isn't, or shouldn't be, such a bitter pill to swallow.

For us, we've been waiting since 1980, and have been fed the same "we're rebuilding, we're rebuilding" nonsense every year certainly for as long as i've been a supporter and no doubt longer.....enough is enough!
