I have already seen the contents of his book. He invented the whole story right here and spewed it out like the most rancid vomit on these boards for years.

I do understand that we are 'not buddies'.

What you say is undoubtably true .. in regards to what appears
in his book, but we should hold judgement until we see the contents,
and any proof that he may have found.

Appearing in Steve's book is no proof of something being real. He doesn't seem to have the most basic contact with reality. In fact, I'd imagine if she is in it, she's the only real thing in there.

So on that note Caz, I doubt that you could really annoy him by being here,
he probably just says 'what he says to you' .. out of genuine affection for a
fellow author, and in fun.
But 'Ben' on the other hand (no offence here Ben) .. I don't know where
he has .. just appeared from.
But I wouldn't really know as I have been 'told' that this thread is where
I belong, so I don't usually stray far .. I fear the reprisal.

Ben reminds me of someone else .. I just can't put my finger on who ...

You're right. It would be because they're so desperately out of arguments that they've been reduced to irritating their perceived opponents whenever they get an opportunity (and wherever said opponents aren't there to defend themselves), and we're at the stage now where the aggressor can only compare other people to comic book characters.

At least you've admitted now that you're deliberately seeking to annoy people, albeit on the flimsy basis that we're in "Pub Talk!". That reveals as much about you as it does the pubs you're accustomed to drinking in!

I understand entirely what you mean (sometimes I wonder if we're the same myself!), and can assure you that the "real" Ben is much closer to the podcast persona. Unfortunately, I've never managed to perfect the art of turning the other cheek when blatently goaded, which often results in ugly exchanges similar to the one above.
