Kraftwerk were themselves influenced by composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, who also influenced the Beatles, Miles Davis, Jerry Garcia, Björk, Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa, among many others. That's quite a record.

Stockhausen's one of my favourite composers, and I have all his recordings, but he's not for the uninitiated. Understatement!
          Kind regards, Sam Flynn

I saw him singing the Conga in Allo Allo, and he wasn't bad.

That was probably his finest hour, Rob. Weird though his music was, it was infinitely more tuneful than Madame Edith's singing.

Not sure I'd rate Klattu as original, especially given all the rumours that they were the Beatles, exceptionally good, yes, original, nope.

So do I - in fact, I'm a bit of a Wagner fanboy. Here I am outside his Festspielhaus theatre in Bayreuth in 2013, for the first installment of the Ring cycle:

Back for another installment of the Ring in 2015, standing in the hallway of Wagner's villa Wahnfried:

I've seen the whole Bayreuth Ring since, seeing the final part last year. A wonderful experience!

                            All you Wagner fans.

Anyone read "Wagner as I knew him" by Ferdinand Praeger?

                            Praeger was my greatx2 uncle.
