Kraftwerk were themselves influenced by composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, who also influenced the Beatles, Miles Davis, Jerry Garcia, Björk, Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa, among many others. That's quite a record.Originally posted by drstrange169 View PostKraftwerk are top five in any list. Their influence changed the music world, literally!
Stockhausen's one of my favourite composers, and I have all his recordings, but he's not for the uninitiated. Understatement!Kind regards, Sam Flynn

That was probably his finest hour, Rob. Weird though his music was, it was infinitely more tuneful than Madame Edith's singing.Originally posted by Robert View PostI saw him singing the Conga in Allo Allo, and he wasn't bad.Kind regards, Sam Flynn

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

So do I - in fact, I'm a bit of a Wagner fanboy. Here I am outside his Festspielhaus theatre in Bayreuth in 2013, for the first installment of the Ring cycle:Originally posted by Ginger View PostOh, God, I love Wagner!

I've seen the whole Bayreuth Ring since, seeing the final part last year. A wonderful experience!Kind regards, Sam Flynn
