Kraftwerk are top five in any list. Their influence changed the music world, literally!

Kraftwerk were themselves influenced by composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, who also influenced the Beatles, Miles Davis, Jerry Garcia, Björk, Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa, among many others. That's quite a record.

Stockhausen's one of my favourite composers, and I have all his recordings, but he's not for the uninitiated. Understatement!

I've seen the whole Bayreuth Ring since, seeing the final part last year. A wonderful experience!
