There is no such thing as the 'Mafia'. It is all conspiracy theories brought on from watching too much telly and movies, such as The Godfather.
And Bonnie and Clyde never existed, it is all fictional, to satisfy your boring lives. Al Capone! HOGWASH! Hoffa? He is living peacefully in Hawaii,laughing.

Roy Cohn was gay but Hoover wasn't necessarily. He could have been but it could all have been a smear too.

Could have, but he lived with the same man for decades and showered favors on him. Not . . . that there is anything wrong with that.

The supposed pictures of him in a dress have never surfaced and there's no reason to fear him now.

Basically. I tend to find him a despicable human who abused his position. I also do not like to imagine him in a dress.

A lot of people hated him and that would have certainly given them motive to reorder his desired reputation so to speak. He was a bit odd which doesn't have anything to do with his sexual orientation. His denial of the Mafia is very weird so perhaps they did have something on him like that if not something really bad. I saw one program that speculated that he sheltered the Mafia because he used them for his gambling passions. He did have his "long time traveling companion" so I say all-in-all the the jury is still out. The supposed pictures of him in a dress have never surfaced and there's no reason to fear him now.

Maybe Hoover was another Billy Tipton and old Clyde was laying her the pipe every night.

So no one thinks I am pulling that out of my fundament, Clyde Tolson was Hoover's long-time roommate. Hover promoted him up to Assistant Director. The charge comes from a 1993 biography--which I have not read but is referenced in that venerable text The Big Book of Weirdos--which notes that at the home of Joe "COMMIES!" McCarthy's former attorney Roy Cohn, Hoover made an appearance as "Mary Hoover." The author noted that Hoover had enough dirt on just about everyone . . . but the Mafia could have ruined him on that.

Seriously. He lived with a man and protected him for decades. Some feel this explains why he ignored and denied the existence of the Mafia for . . . well . . . decades. They had the goods on him.

Isnt one of the biggest problems "armchair detectives" like ourselves face when trying to form an opinion on these cases,the mass of misleading and sometimes fabricated "evidence"and half truths we find ourselves presented with?When the conspiracy motivated author sets off on his mission to enlighten us all,generally he or she has scant regard for the truth,its book sales that count...the truth takes second place unfortunately.Most of the popular mysteries arent mysteries at all,they become mysteries because we,the general public are far too gullible,and too eager to believe the sensational version ,rather than the common sense,probabley boring,but nonetheless for that sensible realistic version.

As I said, I suspect that Oswald might have had some minor help but no grassy knoll stuff.

I think Sirhan acted alone although the security guard might have discharged a round by accident.

It's hard to believe that there wasn't a conspiracy with King though. I don't see Ray as sophisticated enough to do that runner but maybe he was smarter than he seemed.

I agree with those who study conspiracy theories that one is basically dealing with a sense of "unfair" or "no balance." It does not seem "right" that increasingly mythic figures such as JFK and especially RFK were killed . . . by . . . losers! At least James Earl Ray was an avowed racist. Still, I think since time has passed it is easier to "imagine" "darker forces" behind King's assassination. To be fair, J. Edgar "Mary" Hoover's campaign against King probably provides a lot of ammunition.
