Sadler was at sea (the Mediterranean) when Nichols, Chapman, Stride and Eddowes were killed, so he certainly wasn't Jack. IMHO he was just too drunk to have killed Frances Coles. Sergeant Edwards saw him weaving about on the pavement scarcely able to stand only 15 minutes before she died.
The coronial jury on Coles on 27th February returned a verdict of 'murder against some person or persons unknown.' Sugden has it that four days later all proceedings against Sadler at Thames Magistrates Court were dropped. 'As Sadler left the court his cab was loudly cheered by the crowds standing outside.'
