    Hi Bailey,

Although the Ripper may have launched his initial attacks from behind (without the knife), it's generally accepted that he actually cut the throats of his victims while they were lying on their backs. The cutting of Kelly's throat in the opposite direction was undoubtedly caused by the fact that, when he was about to strike, Kelly lay with her head to her killer's right and her feet to his left and because she quite probably realised she was going to be attacked. So there was no time or reason to get her into the 'right position', if there ever was one for the Ripper. He had to kill her then, or she might raise a serious alarm and his 'game' would probably be up.

    All the best,
    Frank

Yes, Diddles could have led us to the man we seek. Bit of a surprise, though.
