    Hello Mike,

Yes, we all have our pet theories and are loath to give them up! We all think we are "on the right track" lol. I already know as much as I need about SG (although there is always something new to learn) but will have to do a lot more reading before I am ready to come up with anything, and not just Jtr-related, as much to do with the mind-set of the time. Incidentally, I came across the origin of the term A1 recently, but you, as a naval man will know that, of course.

    Cheers,
    C4

Metropolitan Police offical profile of case

Have you guys already seen this? It's the Metropolitan Police UK website with profile and suspects in the Ripper case from their perspective.
Tumblety is included along with 3 other suspects.
First time I came across it.
Link is here http://www.met.police.uk/history/ripper.htm if you haven't already seen it.
      Best,

        Hi Siobhan,

So, the official MET Police website accepts that Tumblety was a suspect. Great find Siobhan.

        Sincerely,

        Mike
