Yup. The link on the first post on the thread now appears dead. Pity.

You will be pleased to know that I have traced (with some help from Chris) the owner of the web site and have been in communication via email.
Due to several difficulties, she is unable to present the cross reference material from where she got the above mentions of both Hutchinson and Kelly. But there are positive things.
          1. The George Hutchinson mentioned is the same one appearing under Geo. Hutchinson, hence the (1).
          2. The Mary Kelly, aka O'Brien, is indeed the Mary Kelly of 13, Dorset Street, for under the "K" sectrion she appears three times..

KELLY (1) MARY JANE AKA MARY JANE O'BRIEN BORN LIMERICK AUGUST 1865
KELLY (1) MARY JANE LIVED IN ROOM 13,MILLERS COURT, DORSET ST 1888
KELLY (1) MARY JANE BURIED ST PATRICK'S RC CEMETERY, LEYTONSTONE 1888.

So I'm sorry Scarletpimpernel, you appear to be wrong this time. However I don't hold out much hope, yet one never knows, because of the mention below...

This kind lady has also provided me with a long list of every book or reference she used for the entire web site, and in here, she says, the cross references occur. She is also looking kindly through the books, in her own time, to help us.

I have the list on an email, if anyone has either a large library at home, or access to one such, and if they wish to try to help and cross reference this information, I would be most obliged.
I will send the email to them. Just send me a pm. Many thanks.

          with best wishes

          Phil

              Bump up.

              Was this ever resolved?

              Interesting.

This is interesting, because IF Mary Jane Kelly was born Mary Jane O' Brien...

...then the suggestion that MJK may have subsequently lived with Hutchinson; as per the initial reason for this thread, may not be as ridiculous a statement as one might think.

I say this because I have found a Mary Jane O'Brien in the 1871 census, born in Ireland in 1864/65 and listed as visiting a Hutchinson family living in Liverpool, along with her mother and her siblings, one named Henry.

There is also a connection to a Moran family

Would Liverpool be the transient port that someone travelling from Limerick to Wales would/could go via?

It is fair to say that Mary must appear on the 1871 census somewhere.

Could the alleged and utterly bizarre comment at the top of this thread claiming Mary had lived with Hutchinson, be in reference to when they were kids?

Just wondering how, where and why this thread was initiated with the claim that Mary J had lived with Hutchinson at some point.

It may of course be utter nonsense, but seeing as this doesn't appear to have resolved by anyone yet, I thought it was worth looking into....

                Census doc to follow...

Just asked the missus and I'm allowed some thoughts of my own today, apparently I've saved a few up from last month. My thoughts on this are like pretty much anything else MJK wise as in it's very valuable information, thank you. It's about time more about her is known. To me this whole case it not about who Jack was but more who MJK was. I think the more we know about MJK the more we will learn about Jack. I woman on FB today said her great grandmother knew MJK and left it at that... argghghghgh I mean that is a fairly random thing to say without putting some meat on the bones.

Unfortunately, this Henry didn't survive his visit to the Hutchison family.
