The one and the same. Donald Swanson wouldn't make Superintendent until 1896. Note also that Dr. Bond was called in to look at the victim's injuries.

That's right, How. He was found unfit to plead similar to Cutbush, so there was no OB trial. The CRIM file is 147 pages of police court testimony, including Bond's statement. His statement covers his observations on the way Augusta's throat was cut. I collected copies of files of some of the cases Bond was involved with where I could a few years ago.

He would have been 15, Abby. He was 21 in 1894. He'd been in an asylum facility since Dec. 88 (one of the Langdon Downs establishments)
