scenario
Hello Rocky.
"The actions of Bs & pipeman seem so strange . . ."
So strange that the story can be seen as made up?
". . . we don't know what the assault was over if it wasn't murder?"
Exactly. There should have been no assault in that short time.
"What was pipeman doing just walking up and throwing Stride down?"
Pipeman?
"And pipeman already in a doorway when BS man grabbed Stride."
A building long since closed.
"Did BS man go to get cachous for Stride while pipeman & Liz waited?"
Assault someone then buy "candy"?
"What building was pipeman standing in the doorway of"
A pub.
Cheers.

Q & A
Hello Rocky. Thanks.
"Were the candies ever traced to a nearby shop?'
No.
" I wonder which pub?"
The Nelson.
". . . but yes perhaps the cachous were placed as a joke in Liz's hand. . ."
You mean when he was interrupted before he could mutilate?
". . . after all the ripper seems to have a taunting nature."
Based on . . . ?
"I see you think the story is made up? Why would Schwartz make up the story?"
To ease the pressure on #40 Berner.
"IF it was true do you think pipeman & BS knew each other?"
No.
"Working together or pipeman is a witness like Schwartz who bs man calls lipski, pipeman flees long enough so Schwartz no longer places him at the scene then goes back and kills Stride."
Whilst Liz waits, in suspended animation?
"It seems more likely to me they may have been working together."
Why so far apart?
"But it's very fascinating that pipeman was identified. . ."
He wasn't.
Cheers.

good point well who gave her the cachous and would it be possible for her to grib them during an attack or were they placed in her hand which is more likely?

Basically JtR is saying in the GSG that Jews (like Schwartz) are ignorant and to blame.
We know that the cloth is the link to the Mitre Square murder, and we might have a link to the Berner Street murder with the writing, but does that mean definitively that they both were committed by the same person? Could the murderer in Mitre have been attempting to distance himself from Berner Street....the placement of the cloth and writing in an entrance to Model Homes that to my knowledge did have a least one resident linked with the club seems to be interesting, but I wonder what the author thought the Jews should be blamed for?
Cheers
