No. Weve seen your kind of help before.....youre more apt to include more victims than dismiss any, and 5 murders connected without any evidence is a long enough theoretical series to manage as it is.

    Adieu

It's a pity to see this point disputed in 2013. On THIS site.
Its not a fact that all the C5 solicited even casually at the time they were killed David, and thats surely relevant to the killers profile. In fact it would seem by the documentation that only 2 Canonicals were actively soliciting at the time of their deaths, by their own admission, just prior to the murders. Its possible Mary Kelly entertained her very first client in that room on the night she is murdered, but on that ground breaking basis, unlikely. Its possible Kate went out to solicit after her release, and its possible that Liz Stride decided to look nice and have fresh breath for some trysts with dock workers coming off shift, or some lingering Club members, but in all 3 cases there is insufficient evidence to state as fact that they were all casual or working prostitutes at the time of their deaths.

The "working" element might well be the deciding factor for the killer when choosing a victim, so, I wouldnt assume too much along those lines without some hard evidence. If you believe that the active prostitution status played a major role in the first 2 Canonical murders, Im sure youd agree.

    Cheers David

The purpose of the thread is to stimulate discussion, so go ahead.

Again, the five questions was just a guideline rather than a firm limitation. 6, 7 or so would be fine and follow-on questions are allowable. Just keep it managable: God has other things to do than play "20 Questions".

    1. What was Mary Kellys real identity?
    2. How many victims were killed by the same man, and which ones?
    3. Did any Senior Official know the real truth behind the murders, and if so, whom?
    4. Why was Liz Stride at 40 Berner Street that night?
    5. How many men stabbed Martha?

Its hard just coming up with 5...Im sure for everyone. If I had to pick just one though it would be #2, its why I study in the first place.

    Cheers

Wait-- I thought they were all killed in a small, white church.

I think Lynn was referring to the long-held belief (albeit, pretty much debunked for the last several decades, Pretty Woman notwithstanding) that prostitutes entered the business because they had extraordinary sexual appetites, and enjoy the sex.

I once was in a psychology class in college, when the prof. quoted a stat that 10% of prostitutes are lesbians. A guy a couple of seats over looked really surprised, and whispered to the guy next to him something like (I really wish I could remember the exact wording) "10% of prostitutes are putting the men on?" (If Brits don't have that idiom, "putting on" means fooling.)

Here's some news: 100% of prostitutes are putting the men on.

That could be insulting if it wasn't so silly.

You should read a bit before posting such nonsense.

The life of Liz Stride, for example.

Because it's quite the reverse : "Once a domestic help, always a domestic help" for Lynn.

    Cheers
