What's interesting from the comments so far is that no one has yet to describe a 'Kosminski,' which is somewhat surprising seeing as he's still considered a top 10 suspect. Kosminski doesn't fit the profile of JTR if we analyze our own comments
I think JTR suffered from what we today would describe as Mulit Personality Disorder; a man of many faces as it were.
He used a knife in his professional life, hence his competence with using a blade when you consider his timeframe working in the dark
He was a cannabal
He primary motives were to obliterate his victims and strip their identity as women by attacking the face and genitals
He was passive aggressive in his socail life
He was methodical and precise despite the apparent disorganisation of the inflicted wounds
He suffered abuse from a dominant female figure in his childhood
He wanted to show to the world what his victims were really made of; heartless abusers of thier own bodies.
He was married and led a double life with home/work
He was outwardly charming with women, like Bundy
He collected trophies from his victims
I dont believe he was insane or a lunatic and this is one of the key reasons why he was never caught.
I’d say that he was probably around 30. As the writer of the graffito he was in possession of chalk and so was probably a schoolteacher (probably a Barrister too) Average slim build, moustache. Well spoken. I don’t think that he was a doctor but he had anatomical knowledge probably gained from his doctor father and I’d guess that he lived somewhere like......Blackheath say.
Any help guys
sorry, couldn’t resist it.

Sir Herlock Sholmes.

He was probably the victim of second or third hand gossip as well
Sorry, not nitpicking but I thought someone without empathy is trait of a psychopath rather than a sociopath?
Or is it a trait of both?
Otherwise I agree with most of your points.

To stick my two cents in: a sociopath is without empathy; a psychopath enjoys inflicting pain/fear. All psychopaths are sociopaths but not all sociopaths are necessarily psychopaths.
According to one study one out of every five people is a sociopath, with a disproportionate number appearing as surgeons, pilots, and CEOs. Sociopaths are very good at functioning under stress (probably because they don't feel it).
Within the percentage of sociopaths (approximately 20% of the population) there exists a smaller percentage of functioning psychopaths, coming in several degrees of aggression, from raging fathers who bully children, to school teachers who humiliate students, to wife beaters, to murderers who rip open women.
Oh! and Presidents, more than the current one have been narcissistic psychopaths. They rage, bully, and lie. They think themselves smarter than you and can never admit they are wrong.
Not all psychopaths are murderers some are just husbands, dads, boyfriends, teachers, neighbors, bosses, forum posters, . . .
The rippers aim wasn't to torture his victims. He killed his victims quickly first then performed the mutilations after they were dead. His act of de-sexing his victims, suggests he was removing their ability to scare him, to dominate him. This was probably because of the way his mother treated him. Maybe she was a prostitute too.
He was probably charming at first and seemed safe which gained his victims trust. He may even have been known to his victims and may even have been a trusted local man. Experts agree that Ted Bundy's good looks and manners were instrumental in his ability to capture his victims.

Difference is that Bundy mostly targeted random girls and co-eds, whereas the Ripper killed casual prostitutes. Obviously a degree of trust was involved but I don't believe the Ripper needed to turn on the charm.
Why would a schoolteacher need to carry around a piece of chalk in his pocket?
A local who worked in a street market would be likely to pocket a piece of chalk if he found it, and carry it arround incase he needed it.

He had to make the victim relaxed and want to serve him. Why has no one ever considered that the killer could ever discuize (SIC) his appearance (ie wear a hat that suggested another class?,,,,or a sailor or something)?

Other than Mary Kelly all the Ripper needed to do was walk out of the dark and grab his victim by the throat. The women likely approached him and no words were exchanged. IMO he was not the man seen chatting-up Annie, he was laying in wait when she went into the backyard to relieve herself.
Only getting into Mark Kelly's room took guile and that has always left me confused.
According to the FBI, the Ripper would have been a Caucasian male between 26 and 38 years of age. He would have been a local, familiar to the area and working in Whitechapel.
Joseph Barnett was 30 years old, white, and had been living within a mile of Whitechapel and Spitalfields all his life.
The Ripper would have had an absent father figure in early childhood.
When Barnett was six, his father died.
The Ripper likely had some sort of physical defect which would be a source of great frustration, anger or resentment.
According to one contemporary news report, Barnett often repeated the last words spoken to him. This may have been an indication of echolalia, a speech impediment which he may have suffered from his whole life.
The Ripper likely had a job that allowed him to express his destructive tendencies.
Barnett held a job as a fish porter, where he would have spent much of his time gutting the fish.
Barnett also matches some of the eyewitness descriptions of the killer – 5ft 8 inches, fair hair and featuring a moustache.

I guess which FBI profile you accept

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.
