Hi Dark Passenger, Although men can get "in the mood" fairly easily, they are not devoid of feelings, and should be treated and thought of with respect. After all, if it were not for their money, the prostitutes could not fund their habits. In the prostitute and client situation, the men are the more vulnerable of the two. These are canny women who know how to control a situation and get as much money out of the unsuspecting chap as they can.If he has a family, they are taking money indirectly from his wife and children. As for Wright's partner Pam.If she was not involved in this, she has lost her home, maybe her job,and she has done nothing to deserve it. I also have sympathy for his ex-wife,it must have been a shock for her too.

and by the way, I am talking in general about prostitutes, and have not referred to the five victims in any of my posts, which does not mean that I do not have any sympathy towards them, just to clear that up.

Okay. I am attempting to view the above post as a joke, but somehow I am not laughing.

The Men are vulnerable? Oh no, I don't think so. Prostitutes should respect their johns? ROFLMAO! And no, the prostitutes aren't taking money from a man's wife and child, the MAN is taking the money from his wife and child. Any man who goes to a hooker cannot be called a "vulnerable, unsuspecting chap". Women who excuse men for adultery while blaming the object of the adultery for the lowdown scum-sucking swinebellied behavior of the adulterous party are severely flawed in their thinking. There are no victims in a transaction with a consensual prostitute and her client.

        Let all Oz be agreed;
I need a better class of flying monkeys.

So Ally, let me get this correct, you think that a prostitute's quote was a correct way for her to think about the clients who provide her with her living. Men have feelings too you know! and are no match for a hardened scheming woman of the street,if she feels she can relieve him of his cash! Many men are pursuaded to spend more than they want to,or in some cases, can afford to,and as such, becomes a victim, if only of his own sexuality. If as Dark Passenger would have us believe there is no emotion involved then you cannot call it adultery.Although I agree with you,as in a woman's eyes it could be classed as such.

Here's a thought Anna, if a man can't keep his cash in his pocket when the blood is flowing to his dick, that's a reason for him to avoid prostitutes. There is no one FORCING him to visit prostitutes, there is no one forcing him to hand over more money than he wants to spend, there is no one forcing him to hand over a single flat penny. He is not a victim of anything except of his own crotch and his own stupidity.

            Let all Oz be agreed;

I totally agree, he is a victim of his crotch and his own stupidity....and I also agree that he the choice of what he chooses to spend his money on in this situation...but there is also enticement to take into consideration.....and respect for the hand that feeds them. The ordinary chap in the street is most often the client and as creatures that think in black and white, these women can run rings around them, and pursuasion to go further and spend more not too difficult! The important word being pursuasion, not force. But this is going away from the point of my original post, which is to do with attitude, and not circumstance...

That's a cop out. That's like blaming the salesman for convincing the man to buy a higher priced stereo than he walked in planning to buy, the bigger screen TV or the flashy convertible instead of the mid-priced sedan. Do you blame the salesman for that? I sincerely doubt it. They are doing their job, period, which is to convince a customer to fork over the cash. If the man's a moron it is no fault of the salesman nor the saleswoman.

The Pervert/Chef/Murdere has got life, and rightly so, but this is were it gets intresting, he is known to the police for his violent sexual assaults!!!

Is this another case of "This coulda been avoided"?

They are also looking at wether anyone is willing to come forward to testify he attacked them.

Here is a link to the Sky News Section on him,

Sky News delivers breaking news, headlines and top stories from business, politics, entertainment and more in the UK and worldwide.

Sally was such a beautiful girl, and this man is a monster!

In other cold hearted murderer news,

A girl from Humberside who was sexually attcked by one Ian Huntley went on a protest yesterday to try and bring charges to him.
She did so by climing up to the top of the Hull College and throwing leaflets down onto the surrounded campus.
                    Did she get justice?
No she is under arrest for criminal damage, whilst Huntley gets a lovely life eating jelly babies and touching himself to telly tubbies!

                    Anyway back to Steve Wright.

Anyone remember Suzi Lamplugh?? The Estate Agent who went missing in the 80's?

Both Suzi and Wright worked on the QE2, and she went missing showing a client around a house called MR Kipper, which is a very fishy name.
Anyway the police are looking at that along with several other cases with links to Suffolk!

I cannot see this case disappearing for a while yet.

                    Mike
                    Regards Mike

                        The Gatton Murders

Hi. Gatton is the next main stop for the rail line out of Brisbane through Ipswich so I'll use this as my entree. The Gatton Murders Boxing Day 1898. 3 siblings murdered (and their horse shot through the head) in a paddock outside Gatton QLD. MIchael Clarke shot through the head. His sisters Norah and Ellen raped multiple times and beaten or strangled to death.

This was and to an extent still is a small rural community. Suspects all over the place but no-one ever charged. Last member of the family, the very youngest sister, died in 1973.

Not as well known as JTR (certainly has no websites) but 10 years after Jack evil things were happening around the world. It is a fascinating mystery.

                        Cheers

34 years. Then he'll probably end up with another 100 to serve after that if guilty of the Claremont murders.

I think you are doing men a disservice here Anna. You seem to be implying that men are weak-minded slaves to their primal feelings and that these women are exploiting their weakness. It sounds a bit Adam and Eve to me.

Secondly, if men are so vulnerable and prostitutes so strong and wilful, why have prostitutes been so easy to murder for so long? if you look at the profile of the women Wright killed and compare them with the Ripper's victims there are tragic similarities. The women were driven to life on the streets by addiction (to drink/and/or drugs) and would not have been there at all but for this.

Finally, these types of murder (and indeed sex crimes such as rape) are about violence and power. The men seem to justify their actions by playing on society's attitude to women who sell sex but in fact these crimes are about the need to be violent and sadistic.

Incidently, I wonder why Dixie did not get a whole life tarrif? He is at least ten years younger than Wright and his crimes were equally violent and evil - if no more so.

Dixie does not qualify for a whole life tariff, actually, I checked this out.

Prostitutes are part of the socially excluded "left behind" masses who have been rejected by the ever-consumerist society that simply fogets about those who can't compete socially or economically.

Serial killers emerge from similar circumstances, as all serial killers tend to be working class, especially sex killers.

In future, serial killers will target immigrants, single mothers, binge drinkers, and youths who party hard in dire nightclub metropolises like Newcastle-upon-Tyne. An example of a serial killer who began targeting modern-day "left behinders" is Steven Grieveson, the Sunderland Strangler. He murdered young men with drug problems by mixing in their social circles. Interestingly, Grieveson murdered because he wanted to conceal his gay secret - he too was being left behind.

Prostitutes are vunerable, forced into their situation by the demands of society, and serial killers naturally target the "lower orders."

Anna, also remember that boys under one make up the largest group of males who are murdered, and that these murders are overwhelmingly, disproportionately committed by women - most of the time, mothers. Infanticide is a mother's business.

Do your research before making hot-headed statements.

That's a really interesting slant on the topic of seriel murder Dark Passage. Your theory fits most seriel killers - especially Dennis Nielsson, who murdered many of life's drifters who he found wandering London's streets. It does not, of course, fit Shipman, who is believed to be a sex killer.
