Initially a thread in Mysteries but there seem's to be some closure today as Steve Wright was found Guilty of murdering 5 prostitutes.

When the case first surfaced it was featured in the press as a "Ripper Like Killing"

Just one remark as far as I'm concerned represents the mindset of the unattractive specimens that have represented their kind in interviews today.One said: He was an old bloke, I didn't care about anything except getting his money. DCS Stewart Gull has just called the victims "vulnerable" - I think not. A good idea would be to put that quote in large letters on posters everywhere- the only "vulnerables" are the men that use them!!!!

Wether you agree with these girls methods of making money or not they died because of some lunatic getting sexual gratification!

We must remember that certain situations arise in our lives that makes us take drastic actions to try and overcome them.

Perhaps these girls were struggling to buy money for food, shelter or the inevitable drugs.

I have several friends who have gone into "Non Sex Escort Services"

Why?

The first did it to support her three kids after her husband died, the second did it to get enough money to by a house after her husband beat her to within an inch of her life.

I know and have known several people who have gone into "Chat Line" work, to pay off bills and provide for their families.
One girl told me, the dirtier you get the more you earn!
I was a manager of a busy retail store at the time, and my wife was a supervisor of a similar store and this girl was taking home double what we were earning!!

We must also remember these girls had families.

Hi everyone,Thanks for the latest, Mike! Actually, the whole purpose of my original post was not to do with circumstance but to do with ATTITUDE. The prostitutes know full well that men need to feel that the woman they are with has a friendly attitude towards them to enable the man to achieve what he has paid for.Once he is hooked the chances are he will return.As for the quote. Bet her other clients wondered what she truly thought about them!So far,nobody has mentioned the TRUE victim in all this, Wright's partner Pam. What a thing to discover about the man you live with.I hope we can all spare a thought for her.

Hi Anna,

That is of course assuming Pam had nothing to do with it.

Wright admitting to having several prostitutes home and at one point stated he was afraid Pam would find out because of perfume left on the bed!

Perhaps Pam turned a blind eye to the prostitution business, standing by her man, and becoming an unwitting pawn in Steve Wrights game.

After all there is a long history of partners killing together.

Hi Mike, that thought occurred to me too, but since the arrest took place some time ago, I presumed she would have been cleared or charged by now. Unless,I suppose,they don't have enough evidence against her.They did a tour of the house yesterday, just as it was left on the day of the arrest,fancy seeing all your washing up, and general day to day life, exposed for all to see, including your wardrobe of clothes...

Well the exactly right sentence has been served out I think on Steve Wright (not! in the afternoon thank God)!!!
BUT the Mark Dixie (Sp) case is totally appalling.....The first time I've heard necrophillia discussed openly in the media!
I can't help but think that if we work on SteveW though with his MO we may take another look at our chummy's MO

And yes Mike..... Pam is a worry and the rooms etc but Gawd I hope I don't get taken out 'cos if anyone looks into MY wardrobe...........I'd HAVE to die!!!!!
