Remains of missing Lake Tahoe casino employee Donna Lass have been identified. A skull found in 1986 was recently matched with a relative's DNA sample kept on file for better testing methods.
Lass, a first-aid nurse for the casino, went missing in 1970 after leaving work. She has been linked to the Zodiac Killer by amateur sleuths, but as no other evidence was found with the skull, it is still uncertain if she was one of his victims.
Her clothing and car were found at her residence, which doesn't suggest a voluntary disappearance.
A postcard sent not long after Lass's disappearance may have been sent by the Zodiac, with mention of "the pines", but it isn't clear if it's geniunely from him or an impostor.
