Re-Enactment of the 1914 Christmas Truce - Royal British Legion Benefit

I think this is pretty well done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF2JBb1bvM#t=206

If only the Christmas impulse to be kind to one's neighbor had lasted!

I often think of the millions of good people the world lost in WWI, and for what? Wars have a terribly efficient way of killing the most courageous, dedicated, and altruistic among us.

The world could be so different today - entire nations saved - no World War II, no Holocaust, no Cold War.

Just imagine all the contributions to Art, Literature, Music, Philosophy and Science that we lost. Maybe some of those lost lives would have found the cure for Cancer?

And what was gained for all the horrific loss and suffering? A few yards of mud in No Man's Land.

    Best regards,
    Archaic

And it has been sad that this was partly inspred by the Crstmas truce of '14.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.
