Wow. The cricket pages around the world are filling up with tear-jerkers over Virat Kohli's retirement, And I have to say, he was absolute box-office when he was at his peak. Not only was it showtime when he came out to bat, it was also showtime when he was in the field. He was the mosquito in your ear, the sheet of sandpaper in your undies. In short, he was a right pest to the batsmen he was fielding against. Some people didn't like him, called him motor-mouth (which he was, let's be honest) but I never thought he took it too far. He was a thoroughbred cricketer, a blood-stained warrior the likes of which see maybe only once or twice a generation. It's a shame for his fans in the UK that he couldn't make one more trip this summer for the 5-Test series. Cricket, and I of course, will miss him.
