That’s the best approach to people like that c.d. We tend to get irritated though (I certainly do) and try to persuade people with reason, logic, common sense, evidence, science etc but once people get behind a conspiracist idea like this then it’s a rarity to get them to see sense. Every point made gets seen through a prism which transforms it into something that somehow supports their argument. Then when it’s pointed out how certain people provide strong evidence against something we get them to see old chestnut “well they would say that wouldn’t they?”
