    One thing WE DO NOT DO is put in pies.

    That is very interesting since you eat in so many other ways.

    A lot of the pumpkin pie you get in grocery stores or cheap restaurants is nothing to write home about. But when done well by a good bakery, or restaurant or homemade it can be quite good especially with real whipped cream on top. Pair it with a good, strong cup of coffee and you have a winner especially if preceded by a huge Thanksgiving Meal.

And of course the famous peanuts cartoon..Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! which is tradition to watch on the telly here every Halloween. and the story of Ichabod Crane and the headless horseman and movie Halloween both feature jack o lanterns prominently!

      And of course The great tradition of smashing pumpkins(which is also the name of a popular band here) on Halloween night.
      Smashed pumpkins all over the place the next morning lol.

      Yup, us Yanks love their pumpkins!
      Oh, I like the sound of the Punken Chunken contests!
