  • Ok, I admit It - I Bought a Man Purse

Needed something to carry all my stuff to and from work.

At the moment, still feel pretty secure in my masculinity. We shall see.

If a Ferrari is a penis substitute, then I can only assume that the man-purse is the scrotal equivalent.

That wounds me deeply, Sam. Deeply.

The old man in the next bed leaned over and said in a hoarse voice, "Son! git aht of 'ere, as soon as you can!". "Why, thank you," I said, "My name's Milligan". "Mine's Ethel Martin," he replied. "Ethel? It says 'Dick' on your chart." "It was Dick when I come in, but between then and now the surgeon made a mistake". "Ah!" I said, "The unkindest cut of all!".

Since 94 people have viewed this thread and I haven't been openly mocked, I guess my masculinity remains intact and unchallenged.

With numerous health issues that require carrying all sorts of equipment and medication I have used one for years.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

I really like it. Nicer than mine. But I don't think it will look good with black slacks/coat/shoes. You need brown and black. But this is a good first step.

I would despise anyone that dared to mock another because of gender confusion.

Is the problem that we call it a "man purse" now, remeber when we called tham "bags" or "satchels"... everyone was ok with that.....

I personally carry a backpack but hey who am I to judge haha

I've carried one for years. At some point, it stopped being my 'manpurse' and just became my purse. I can't imagine getting by without one now.

Thank you to all of those who have been supportive. As for those making smart ass comments, shame on you. You know who you are.

I had a canvas satchel from my school days that I carried well into adulthood. Over the years it lost it's shape and looked decidedly "purse-like" but it was olive drab with the standard military clasps, so it retained an air of redneck chic...
