One immediately stood out as a favourite of mine (that I’d forgotten about) The Long Good Friday. The theme tune was great too.

I love Bob Hoskins chewing up the screen. Plus amazing to see docklands before it was completely transformed. Harry Shand was right on the money (no pun intended) with his predictions for the area.

          Hi Herlock,

Ian Fleming said he had Cary Grant in mind when he wrote the books.

            Hello George,

I never knew that. Cary Grant was great.

It's one of my better half's favourites, so I must watch it again. I know I preferred A Very Long Engagement.

I'm compiling my list but will need to leave many out!

                  Hi Caz,

Great choices. I’m glad that you’ve listed my number one film ever…The Life Of Brian. It’s good to see a couple of Carry On films making an appearance too ( I love them) Dial M For Murder is a classic…just pipped at the post in my list by Rear Window. Vertigo almost made it too..

Hoskins was brilliant; the very final scene when he is in the car with a young Pierce Brosnan... acting perfection

Oh yeah, that final scene was a doozy.

Return to Oz (Disney for kids at its most disturbing imo).

                        Duel.

                        The Mummy.

The Lion King I and II.

                        Labyrinth.

And I do love the Harry Potter series.

Not really a movie fan aside from a few.
O have you seen the devle
                        with his mikerscope and scalpul
                        a lookin at a Kidney
                        With a slide cocked up.

Which Mummy are we talking about Tani?

Are we in the realms of Hammer Horror, or one of the pale bandaged imitators?

                            The imitators of course

I thought Fraser was great and so over the top. The movie as a whole has great comedy and acting.

                            No regrets choosing it
