Time and Again and it’s sequel From Time to Time by Jack Finney.
Great escapism time travel adventures. No fancy time machines etc just a great story.

I just finished Scoundrels vol 1 and absolutely loved it. I can’t wait for volume 2 to arrive.

Sounds interesting Sting, thanks for mentioning it. I notice that Inspector Byrnes gets a mention. I’ll stick this one on my ever lengthening list of books to check out.

I'd recommend lighting up a 'Hermes Conundrum', a blend of Burley leaf and opium I had the Scoundrels tobacconist whip up for waiting on deliveries.

I really don’t think that there’s anything that would be an issue. Two blokes who do things like going Panda hunting. What’s not to like?
                Hi Herlock,

I finally began Scoundrels Vol 1 yesterday afternoon, and read the first 100 pages, giggling like a schoolgirl while enjoying the warm sunshine in the garden. Mister Brown was listening in growing horror to the thrashing by the West Indies and wanted to know what the hell I was finding so bloody amusing.

I gave him a small extract from the Panda Hunting episode to whet his appetite, and now he can't wait to get his paws on it after me. He is currently reading The Ipcress File.

                Love,

                Caz

Just finished "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. A little hokey and far fetched but it was very good. Over 209,000 reviews on Amazon so it is very popular.

                      Never mind, eh?

I think it depends on what kind of reading experience you want. Do you want to learn and decipher like we do here on Casebook or do you just want to relax with an entertaining book?

If you want to learn, go with The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.
If you want to relax, Divergent is pretty cool.
