    Might save you if you end up in the drink* and can't swim. Mind you, by the time you blow it up you've probably froze to death.
    I rarely use it these days but I've always kept my landline as it doesn't need electricity. Well it does, but that comes through the phone's lead itself.

    * drink. Not sure if the word is used in the US. By drink I mean the sea, not drunk on alcohol.
    These are not clues, Fred.
    It is not yarn leading us to the dark heart of this place.
    They are half-glimpsed imaginings, tangle of shadows.
    And you and I floundering at them in the ever vainer hope that we might corral them into meaning when we will not.
    We will not.
