Except Liza, who is not my fav but has really the same voice, but will not copy her mother's style. She once said as much. For that I applaud her.
I really liked when she did I cried for you, from the movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCzsNFksLN4
Funny how Thatcher is bringing back Judy, lol.

"Somewhere Over The Rainbow" just about sums up New Labour's "policies" during the years they played at being in power!
But seriously, Judy Garland had a wonderful voice and presentation, but sadly her private life was her downfall, particularly in the USA. Liza Minnelli hadn't got such a lyrical voice, but she could certainly put a number across, and one movie I never tire of watching is "Cabaret".

A quick postscript. Last month the BBC, after days of soul-searching and hand-wringing, decided not to broadcast this song from 'The Wizard of Oz' because it might cause offence. Last night they put on their website (whether it has been shown on TV I don't know) a video clip that was about a thousand times more disturbing and offensive than 'Ding Dong' could ever have been. What were they thinking of, in either case?
