Smollett is an individual who has been in a privileged showbiz bubble from an early age, exposed to radical ideologies like the black panther movement. His view of Trump supporters seems to be one of caricature.....

Two MAGA hat wearing rednecks out in arctic conditions carrying bleach and a noose in the hope of running into someone black or gay or both to lynch....then the Trump cherry on top of the racist Sundae.....Chicago is apparently "MAGA country". His story sounds like one a child would come up with on the spot.


So why did Smollett do this beyond trying paint his political enemies in a certain light? Well what would have happened if he had got away with this?

◘ Increased fame and instant sympathy as a victim.

◘ He would have been front and centre at the Oscars/Emmys.

◘ He would have been the anti-Trump poster boy for 2020.

◘ It would and did help the Booker/Harris anti-lynching bill.

◘ His failing TV show would have got increased viewing figures.

◘ A boost to his mediocre music career.

◘ Film/TV roles would have poured in.

◘ Like Majikthise and Vroomfondel he would be on all on the chat shows and with a clever agent, he’d be on the gravy train for life.



It's clear this victim chique has so much secondary gain that the rewards are too great to turn down, and the disappointment by the MSM that this is a hoax and America is not as racist or homophobic as they like to portray is palpable.

Smollett who a decade ago threw his own brother under the bus by pretending to be him when he was caught during a DUI clearly has not learned his lesson about making false statements to the police....he has to experience a part of the justice system that he thought he never would.

Jussie needs jail time.....but given we are now getting the line "he has an untreated drug problem" it seems he is going to go down the victim road again during his defence.

That is quite an insight into the mind of a juvenile prick but while I don't doubt your ability to have considerable insights into his thinking, let me point out why his thinking is incorrect on most points:

=> Probably correct. who wouldn't sympathise with a victim? We all have varying levels of empathy in our bones.

◘ He would have been front and centre at the Oscars/Emmys.
=> The experience of other MAGA assault and attempted murder victims would not suggest that. Robert de Niro, Maxine Waters, Eric Holder and Rakeem Jones do not seem to have had prominent outings at recent Hollywood Award events. "Who is Rakeem Jones?" you might ask? He is the guy who was punched by the old fella with a cowboy hat at MAGA Rally in 2016 and the question proves exactly my point.

◘ He would have been the anti-Trump poster boy for 2020.
=> Robert de Niro was probably more of an Anti-Trump poster boy before he received the mail-bomb than now. besides, the real Anti-Trump poster-boy for 2020 will be Donald J.Trump himself.

Yes, we have all be reading the news but I think the above statement of "Trump engaged in no conspiracy with Cohen" is quite a stretch, no? So, just to make sure that we all are on the same page, here are the facts:

Cohen was convicted (amongst other things) for Campaign finance violations, i.e. for the payment to Stormy Daniels. Quote from https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politic...gn-finance-law:

• "During the 2016 election, Cohen paid $130,000 to adult film actress Stephanie Clifford, known as Stormy Daniels, and arranged for a publishing company to pay $150,000 to model Karen McDougal for her story in exchange for the women agreeing to not go public with allegations that they had affairs with Trump. (Trump has denied having affairs with either Clifford or McDougal.)
• Prosecutors said the purpose of the hush payments was to influence the 2016 election, and treated them as campaign contributions, which are subject to restrictions under the Federal Election Campaign Act.
• Cohen’s payment to Clifford, they said, exceeded the $2,700 limit on personal contributions to a single candidate for an election. The payment he helped arrange for McDougal flouted the ban on corporations contributing directly to campaigns."

Further to this, Cohen stated that he had done this at the direction to Donald Trump and provided audio evidence that proved that Cohen and Trump were talking about HOW the payments should be made. Finally, Cohen alleged that he was later re-reimbursed by various payments from Trump and the Trump Organisation with the express aim to obfuscate the purpose of the payments. This was done with the knowledge of Trump Org CFO Alan Weizelberg ("Weizelberg, straight ahead!", lol....) and Trump, thus making it a three-person conspiracy. These are the allegations and this is currently investigated by SDNY.

Finally, AMI (the National Enquirer publisher) had agreed to co-operate with the Special Counsel and admitted publically and in court that "it made the $150,000 payment in concert with Trump's campaign,"(https://www.cnbc.com/2018/12/12/fede...-immunity.html)

So there are two independent allegations and they have both been stated in court:
1. That Trump has conspired with Cohen and AMI to commit campaign finance violations in the Karen McDougal case.
2. That Trump has conspired with Cohen to commit campaign finance violations in the Stormy Daniels case.

Thing is, all of this has not yet been tested in court, which is the only reason why "Trump engaged in no conspiracy with Cohen" can just about still be stated as fact. But if you had to put a thousand bucks on it, where would your money honestly go?
