If it's wrong for a man to hit a woman, how can it be right for an adult to hit a child?

    Best wishes,
    Steve.

Sorry to say, as it may not be politically correct (like I give two figs about political correctness anyway), but all some kids - in particular teenagers - need is a good clip round the ear / kick up the arse. I probably sound like a centurion to say that but it's true, there is a bigger lack of discipline than ever these days overall, and it shows in the behaviour of youths, they know they can get away with more and so they exploit that.

      Cheers,
      Adam.

Sure. And it's equally wrong to be beaten.

It's all too easy to believe that kids are getting out of control these days and things were much better in the good old clip-round-the-ear age. What sort of disciplinary approach do you think will have been used by the majority of the parents of today's thugs? Violence is what breeds violence.

While we're looking at the past through rose coloured spectacles, I wonder how your average hoodie would get on in Victorian Whitechapel...

          Best wishes,
          Steve.

Ketchup mixed with mayonnaise shouldn't be banned.

            Although mustard is best.

            Hope everybody will agree.

Brown sauce is the way forward.

              Best wishes,

                I don't know brown sauce.

Most sauces are nice with mushrooms.

It's a damn good sauce thread.

I trust that everyone has read Evans and Skinner's JTR Saucebook?

Way forward, Steven? It's always been the way: HP, branston pickle, english mustard etc. Not that muck mayon whatever it is and tomato sauce and that French mustard with no heat - load of bollocks.

Is this the right thread for an anti-foreign rant?

We've gotta get out of the EU by the way.

Can't we make the French illegal?

My sister-in-law is French so if we made them illegal, I would have to call her something else, wouldn't I? Sister-outside-the-law perhaps.

                      Best wishes,
                      Steve.

Ketchup mixed with mayo and a little Louisiana hot sauce is the thing to dip fried oysters in.

isn't ketchup mixed with mayo thousand island dressing? And thus the "secret sauce" of the Big Mac?

Every time someone puts Thousand Island dressing on a Reuben, a tiny Jewish puppy dies.
