What Life Has Taught Me!

I've belonged to an internet chat site devoted to fashion and there are four
transvestite members -infact, the four most devoted members of the site !
(edit: five -one has had the 'op')
They all have children, two are happily married, one divorced, two are straight and two are bisexual. The fifth is gay.
The two married ones dress as men in everyday life as a college lecturer and
an IT worker in the city. The divorced one now dresses as a woman all the time after a horrible life of secrecy, and the last looks like a female model
dressed like Miss Moneypenny as head of Human Resources for an international american firm in Egypt.
The fifth is training to be a primary school teacher.
They need to come on the fashion site so they can let out their 'alter egos' and be addressed by girl's names and discuss clothes and makeup. They are totally accepted by all the women as 'one of us' (a huge age range from 12-60, and from all walks of life), and any new members making nasty comments have been smartly seen off.
They all welcome questions and honesty about themselves, and all say that they felt that they had this 'alter ego' as small children and enjoyed dressing in mummy's clothes (often in secret) although they also did boys things
dressed as boys. A couple of them have hobbies like car mechanics and
football.
The married ones love buying their wives clothes and jewellery and going to clubs where they try on wigs, get made up, and try on frocks and take photos. I was furious when I saw a report on one such club being shut down, as locals (and by extension the Daily Mail) thought it was a den of devravity. It looked like a bit of a Tupperware Party from the photos that I saw.
I think that it's an obviously difficult thing for a wife or girlfriend to accept,
and to proudly accompany them to these parties, but if they can get over it, then the married ones seem very 'in love' with their wives and happy
(telling the kids in the next hurdle !).
I'm horrified when I see people s******ing and pointing in the street at transvestites -believe me, they are very hurt by it; It takes lots of courage to go out and buy and try on clothes and it's so hard for them to hide away
as if they had a guilty secret. The trainee techer is suicidal over this.Last edited by Rubyretro; 04-29-2011, 11:37 AM.
